    Abstract: The embodiments of the application provide an electrode assembly and a manufacturing method and manufacturing system therefor, a battery cell and a battery. The electrode assembly includes a positive pole piece and a negative pole piece, a positive active material layer of the positive pole piece and a negative active material layer of the negative pole piece are arranged oppositely, and an end of the negative active material layer extends beyond the positive active material layer. The negative active material layer includes a negative body portion and a negative edge portion, one end of the negative edge portion extends beyond the positive active material layer, and/or the positive active material layer includes a positive body portion and a positive edge portion. The electrode assembly of this structure can reduce a risk of lithium plating of the pole piece.

    Abstract: A battery unit includes an electrode assembly and a support component. The electrode assembly includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate that have opposite polarities, and a separator separating the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The electrode assembly is wound around an outer periphery of the support component. An outer peripheral wall surface of the support component includes a first arc surface and a second arc surface. A first end of the first arc surface is connected to a first end of the second arc surface, and a second end of the first arc surface is spaced apart from a second end of the second arc surface so as to form a step region on the outer peripheral wall surface. The step region is configured to accommodate at least part of the electrode assembly.

    Abstract: Described are a battery cell, a battery and a device using a battery cell as a power source, wherein the battery cell comprises a case and an end cap, wherein the case is provided with an opening, the end cap is used for covering the opening and is in sealed connection with the case, one of the case or the end cap is provided with a notch, the other is provided with a protrusion, the protrusion is provided within the notch and matches the shape of the notch, and the end cap is fitted on the case by mating the protrusion with the notch. The end cap of the battery cell of the present application is fitted on the case by mating the protrusion with the notch, which can effectively reduce the metal scrapings generated by scratching between the end cap and the case from falling into the case.
