Abstract: Systems and methods for a fuel water separator for operation under a vacuum are described herein. The fuel water separator includes a filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a filter element having a first filter media and a second filter media positioned downstream the first filter media. The filter cartridge also includes a first vent positioned at a filter element first end and structured to allow air to pass therethrough. The filter cartridge also includes a second vent positioned at the filter element first end and structured to allow the air to pass therethrough.

Abstract: A fluid filtration system is provided. The system includes a filter head and a filter cartridge removably coupled to the filter head. The filter cartridge includes a shell housing defining a first housing end, a second housing end, and a housing sidewall extending between the first housing end and the second housing end. The filter cartridge further includes a filter element received within the shell housing and removably coupled to the shell housing. The filter element includes a media pack and an endplate. The media pack is configured to filter matter from a fluid flowing therethrough. The endplate is coupled to an end of the media pack. The endplate includes an expansible scaling member extending axially away from the endplate in a direction opposite to the media pack and having a compliant portion. The expansible sealing member is configured to expand in diameter when the expansible sealing member engages the shell housing.

Abstract: A filter element includes a first filter media defining a central channel. An endcap is disposed on an end of the filter media, the endcap defining an outlet for clean fluid to exit the filter media. A second filter media is disposed radially inward of the first filter media, the second filter media structured to coalesce water. A hydrophobic screen is disposed across the outlet defined in the endcap.
