摘要: An air cleaner assembly includes a filter housing extending axially along a longitudinal axis and a cover. The filter housing includes at least one sidewall (e.g., an annular sidewall) extending between a first housing end and a second housing end and a retainer formed proximate at least one of the first housing end and the second housing end. The cover is removably coupled to at least one of the first housing end and the second housing. The cover includes a handle assembly having a latch configured to releasably engage the retainer of the filter housing. The filter element includes filter media and is axially insertable into the filter housing when the cover is removed from the filter housing.

The filter blocking mechanism is structured prevent installation of the filter cartridge into the housing unless filter cartridge information of the identification element sensed by the sensor is identified as corresponding to an authorized filter cartridge.

摘要: Filtration systems having a tangential air cleaner having a coiled media filter element and a cyclonic pre-cleaner are described. An outer wall of the filter element acts as a pre-cleaner sleeve of the housing to generate a cyclonic flow of the intake air prior to the intake air being filtered by the filter element. The housing cover includes geometry that redirects the cyclonic flow from a tangential path to an axial, straight-through flow directed through an inlet flow face of the filter element. Various embodiments of such filtration systems offer increased filter performance and capacity compared to similarly sized cylindrical pleated filter elements having a radial flow filtering path.

摘要: Filter media including one or multiple sheets of filter media, an upstream inlet, and a downstream outlet. A pleat pack can be formed by alternately folding a flat sheet along pleat fold lines with a high media surface density. The flat sheet of filter media may include a separation geometry feature or separation mechanism that maintains a separation distance between adjacent pleats of the filter media. A separation geometry can comprise one or more embossments forming a raised surface, an inlet spacer mesh and/or an outlet spacer mesh positioned between adjacent pleats, and/or an adhesive bead. The upstream inlet receives dirty fluid along a first direction and the downstream outlet discharges clean fluid along a second direction substantially not parallel to the first direction. The filter element defines an angle between the inlet and outlet flow, allowing large dust particles to move out of the media pack due to inertia.

摘要: Inertial particle separators having an axially translating or a deformable poppet component are described. The poppet component axially translates to accommodate a wide range of flowrates through the inertial particle separator. In some arrangements, the poppet component is biased by a spring towards a closed or restricted position. The variable flowrate and constriction provided by the poppet maintains a substantially constant pressure drop and separation efficiency during operation across a wide range of flowrates through the separators.
