    摘要: Systems, devices and/or methods that facilitate thinner form factors and/or more robust mobile device enclosures by injection molding mobile device enclosures with panels are presented. These panels can include display panels, window panels and touch sensitive panels. Further, panels can be insert molded. Additionally, select panels can be contemporaneously molded by multi-shot injection molding at least a portion of the panel and a portion of the enclosure body. Multi-shot injection molding can include 2-shot injection molding, multi-shot injection molding, and co-injection injection molding. Injection molding a mobile device enclosure with a panel can provide improved form factor mobile device enclosures and/or provide a more robust mobile device enclosure than many traditional methods.

    摘要: A monocoque housing for a mobile unit comprises a base, an end cap, and an isolation gasket. The mobile unit includes an electronic stack assembly. The base has an opening. The end cap is adapted to removably couple with the base. The end cap includes a cap and a frame where the frame is received by the base through the opening so that the cap covers the opening. The isolation gasket is disposed between the frame and the electronic stack assembly. The electronic stack assembly is not mechanically fastened to the isolation gasket. When the mobile unit experiences a shock load, the isolation gasket absorbs the shock load to reduce the shock load on the electronic stack assembly.

    摘要: A programmable controller and software that monitors periods an RF transmitter is active and a output power level during those periods of activity. These two values are multiplied together and accumulated over time to provide a value for the RF emissions for some period. A limit is set for the RF emissions for any period and if the RF emissions exceeds (or is expected to exceed given the current rate) the set limit, the system limits the subsequent emissions to not exceed the set limit. This reduction in emissions rate come at the cost of a small performance reduction.

    摘要: A memory for storing constraint data describing a constrained area, a location sensor, and a processor operationally coupled to the memory and location sensor for location tracking. In operation, the device acquires real-time location information from the location sensor and calculates a location within the constrained area utilizing the constraint data and the acquired real-time location information. The location sensor may include an accelerometer that produces signals corresponding to a change in speed and a gyroscope that produces signals corresponding to a direction traveled. The processor may calculate a distance traveled over time utilizing the signals from the accelerometer and calculate the location utilizing the calculated distance traveled over time and the direction traveled.
