Abstract: A visual indication system for a machine is provided. The visual indication system includes an output module configured to be displayed at an external location relative to an internal portion of a cabin of the machine and configured to provide a visual indication viewable. The visual indication system also includes a controller communicably coupled to the output module. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a parking status and an implement status of the machine. Further, the controller is configured to determine a locked state associated with the parking status and the implement status. The controller is configured to transmit the visual indication of the determined locked state to the output module.

Abstract: A technique is directed to methods and systems of a dynamic geofence in a worksite environment. In some cases, cameras and sensors are placed on the machines to monitor the worksite and automatically create a geofence around a machine as it operates. The geofence can dynamically change as the machine navigates in the worksite. Machine operators or site personnel can receive an alert regarding the proximity of people or objects to the geofence around the machine. In some implementations, the machines are autonomous, semi-autonomous, or remote controlled from a modular and customized virtual cab. A remote-controlled machine can provide full machine maneuverability with the user at a safe distance from potentially hazardous environments. In some cases, the geofence is automatically created to cover the work area based on the semi-autonomous command assigned to the machine.

Abstract: A controller may monitor a plurality of operations performed using one or more implements of the work machine. The controller may determine that the work machine is performing a particular operation based on monitoring the plurality of operations. The controller may obtain, based on information regarding the particular operation, camera view information, from a data structure, indicating that the particular operation is associated with a particular camera of a plurality of cameras of the work machine. Each camera, of the plurality of cameras, may capture a respective view of a plurality of views of the work machine. The controller may determine, based on the camera view information, that a bandwidth associated with a video stream, of a particular view of the work machine captured by the particular camera, is to be increased. The controller may increase the bandwidth associated with the video stream provided by the particular camera based on determining that the bandwidth is to be increased.

Abstract: A machine is disclosed. The machine may comprise a steering device configured to move along a steering position range in response to a force applied on the steering device by a machine operator. The steering device may have at least one soft stop position along the steering position range. The machine may further comprise a biasing member mechanically coupled to the steering device and configured to apply an opposing force that opposes movement of the steering device when the steering device is at or beyond the soft stop position. A magnitude of the opposing force may be sufficiently low such that the machine operator can move the steering device past the soft stop position. The machine may further comprise an electronic control device configured to determine the soft stop position based on one or more operation conditions of the machine.
