The sensor senses or detects the usage status of the display device or the environmental parameters associated with a surrounding environment. The driving circuit is configured for either the display mode or the idle mode in accordance with the usage status or the environmental parameters.

The humidity-sensitive substrate has two different humidity-sensitive elements for achieving a self-regulating temperature compensation feature. The present invention of the humidity-sensitive element having the saturated salt solution can maintain the amount of humidity in the air regardless of the temperature.

In the method, a distance is sensed between the user and the display system.
