    摘要： A method and apparatus for protecting against copying high definition (HD) contents transmitted in a wireless HD (WiHD) network by using a WiHD source or sink device, the method including: determining a type of copy protection of contents transmitted in the WiHD network; calculating accumulatively a number of media access control (MAC) sub-packets as a input counter information, wherein the MAC sub packets constitute a MAC payload including the contents; packetizing the type of copy protection and the input counter information into a MAC packet; and transmitting the MAC packet to a WiHD sink device.

    摘要： Provided is a method of transmitting information regarding a device in a wireless personal area network (WPAN). In the method, a probe request frame is received from one of devices belonging to the WPAN according to a common mode which is a physical layer (PHY) transmission mode being commonly supported by the devices, the probe request frame containing information requesting information regarding a PHY transmission mode supported by another specific device, a probe response frame containing the information regarding the PHY transmission mode supported by the specific device is generated, and then the probe response frame is transmitted to the device transmitting the probe request frame, according to the common mode.

A device that enters the WPAN transfers information about its PHY transmission mode to the PNC through an association request message so that a problem that conventional services are not provided to a user in the WPAN due to a difference in PHY transmission modes of the devices during the PNC handover can be solved.
