    摘要: A hybrid class B channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) scheme is discussed which configures one cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource for beam tracking and another UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS resource for CSI feedback. The cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource may be transmitted at a longer periodicity and shared by user equipments (UEs) in the cell. The beamforming may be cycled over a set of predefined weights transparent to UE. The UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS may be transmitted at a shorter periodicity and can be activated dynamically to allow resource sharing among multiple UEs. The UEs will report a CSI for the cell-common beamformed CSI-RS resource which provides a quality indicator for the associated cell-common beam and is utilized by the base station to determine the precoding weight for the UE-specific beamformed CSI-RS resource. Both resources can be configured with different parameter sets, such as number of ports, codebook type, and CSI reporting parameters.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for dynamic frozen bits of polar codes for early termination and performance improvement. A wireless device may receive a signal comprising a codeword encoded using a polar code. The wireless device may perform decoding of the codeword including at least: parity check of a first subset of decoding paths for making a decision on early termination of decoding of the codeword based on dynamic frozen bits, and generating path metrics for a second subset of the decoding paths that each pass the parity check based on the dynamic frozen bits, and performing error detection on a bit sequence corresponding to one of the second subset of the decoding paths based at part on error detection bits and the generated path metrics. The wireless device may process the information bits based on a result of the decoding.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for a two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook for elevation beamforming. A two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook is determined for elevation beamforming. The codebook supports single stream codewords and multistream codewords. The two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook is generated by stacking the columns of the matrix product of two discrete Fourier transform codebook matrices. The codebook size may be flexibly designed based on required beam resolution in azimuth and elevation. A best codebook index is selected from the generated two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook. The selected codebook index is provided in a channel state information report. The channel state information report is transmitted to a base station.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described for reconfiguring a user equipment (UE) to operate in a reconfigured TDD UL-DL configuration. An initial uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration for TDD communication may be provided for communication between an e Node B and a UE. One or more subframes within each frame transmitted using the initial UL-DL configuration may be identified as flexible subframes. The identification of flexible subframes may permit the identification of timing for HARQ transmissions that does not change when a reconfiguration takes place. A different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted to the UE, in which at least one flexible subframe is to be changed from an uplink subframe to a downlink subframe. The different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted by, for example, a pseudo-uplink grant to the UE, which indicates that the UE is to reconfigure one or more flexible subframes from uplink to downlink transmission.

Cell weighting techniques may be used so that distributed TDD UL-DL reconfiguration of the cell cluster can be weighted towards cells of the cluster with higher load. Cells within a cell cluster may independently determine their preferred TDD UL-DL reconfiguration and one or more cells of the cluster may be eligible cells for determining the TDD UL-DL reconfiguration for the cluster. Special subframes may be used for transmission of TDD UL-DL reconfiguration messages from the configuring cell and transmission of ACK messages from other cells of the cluster. The TDD UL-DL reconfiguration message may be an orthogonal sequence based on a signature determined by the cell ID of the configuring cell.

Cells may be added to a cell cluster with a first cell when a level of interference coupling between the first cell and one or more neighboring cells exceeds a first threshold. One or more other cells may be added to a virtual logical cell cluster with the first cell when the level of interference coupling is between a second threshold and the first threshold, the second threshold being less than the first threshold. Interference mitigation between cells of cell clusters and/or virtual logical cell clusters may be performed. Interference mitigation may be accomplished through, for example, coordination of TDD uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configurations for cell clusters and scheduling-dependent interference management (SDIM) for virtual logical cell clusters.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described for discontinuous transmission and/or discontinuous reception in time division duplex (TDD) systems that may have data transmission formats dynamically reconfigured. An initial uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration for TDD communication between an eNB and user equipment (UE) may be established. This initial UL-DL configuration may be reconfigured to a different UL-DL configuration for one or more UEs in communication with the eNB. When a UE switches to discontinuous reception (DRX) mode, it may monitor control information from the eNB during DRX on periods, a frequency of the DRX on periods based on a reference UL-DL configuration irrespective of any reconfiguration of UL-DL configuration for a particular UE. In some aspects, a UE that is operating in a UL-DL reconfiguration mode may, upon entering DRX mode, autonomously discontinue operating in the UL-DL re-configuration mode.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for dynamic frozen polar codes, for example, for control channels. An exemplary method may be performed at the encoder. The method generally includes encoding a stream of bits using a polar code. The encoding includes selecting a first set of channel indices for encoding information bits. The encoding includes selecting a second set of the channel indices smaller than a channel index for a first information bit for encoding fixed frozen bits. The encoding includes selecting remaining channel indices for dynamic frozen (PCF) bits having values based on one or more of the information bits. The method includes transmitting the encoded stream of bits.
