Abstract: According to one configuration, a wireless network environment includes a first wireless network and a second wireless network. A mobile communication device in the wireless network environment receives first paging notifications directed to the mobile communication device from a first wireless base station such as operated by a first wireless network service provider. The mobile communication device receives second paging notifications directed to the mobile communication device from a second wireless base station such as operated by a second wireless network service provider. The wireless network environment provides improved paging over conventional techniques.

Abstract: A master node (MN) communicating with a UE using resource of a first band of unlicensed spectrum sends an addition request to a selected secondary node, to request resources for supporting the UE in a second band of unlicensed spectrum. The addition request includes minimum frequency separation information and optionally a baseline reference frequency. The minimum frequency separation information communicated in the addition request, indicates a minimum amount of frequency separation to be maintained between the communication resources in the first band of unlicensed spectrum used for communications with the UE and communication resource in the second band of unlicensed spectrum to be used for communications with the UE. The secondary node selects a channel within the second band of unlicensed spectrum to use for communications with the UE, which will satisfy the minimum frequency separation requirement communicated in the addition request and avoid IDC problems for the UE.

Abstract: A wireless station is allocated use of a time slot in a given direction, uplink or downlink, on a given channel. The wireless station monitors for presence of wireless energy during a portion of the time slot. Based on a detected level of the wireless energy in the time slot, the wireless station controls transmission of wireless communications in a direction opposite to the configured direction in a remaining part of the time slot.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting use of multiple bandwidth parts, some of which are in a dormant state from the perspective of a User Equipment device (UE) are described. In various embodiments a multi-cell grant is supported in which a UE can be, and sometimes is, granted resources corresponding of an active bandwidth part (BWP) corresponding to a cell which is active from the UE's perspective and a BWP of a dormant cell with the multi-cell grant being transmitted to the UE on the active BWP of the active cell. Various features relate to timing determination operations used to determine downlink and/or uplink timing to be used for bandwidth portions corresponding to a dormant cell. In some embodiments a UE PRACH signal transmission on a bandwidth part of a dormant cell can be triggered by a control signal sent on a bandwidth part of an active cell.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a multi-wireless communication system includes communication management hardware disposed in a first wireless network. The communication management hardware provides a mobile communication device first wireless access via a first wireless network in accordance with first subscriber identity information. The communication management hardware detects that the mobile communication device has second wireless access to a second wireless network in accordance with second subscriber identity information. To determine a location of the mobile communication device, the communication management hardware implements a location management function in the first wireless network. The location management function can be configured to produce the location information to include timing information associated with wireless communication between the second wireless network and the mobile communication device. The communication management hardware uses the timing information to determine the location of the mobile communication device.

The addition request includes timing information including one or more of: i) information indicating a start time for the MN time division duplexing (TDD) timing structure with respect to the UE, or ii) information indicating a reference clock being used by the MN. The secondary node uses the received timing information from the MN to perform timing alignment at the secondary node. The adjusted timing alignment of the secondary node allows the UE to achieve slot-boundary and/or symbol boundary alignment with regard to MN communications using the first unlicensed spectrum and SN communications using the second unlicensed spectrum. Due to the achieved synchronization, an in-device coexistence (IDC) problem is avoided.

Abstract: A user equipment has been allocated uplink resources, e.g. interlaced uplink channel resources, e.g. interlaced physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources, and non-interlaced uplink channel resources. The UE receives cancellation indication (CI) information which rescinds the allocation for a portion of the previous granted resources. CI is communicated using different formats for resources which are in blocks and resources which are interlaced. The CI for the interlaced resources uses a more efficient format with less overhead to communicate frequency information corresponding to the cancellation for the interlaced channel.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to HARQ feedback, e.g. delayed HARQ ACK/NACK, and uplink control information (UCI) multiplexing, in unlicensed spectrum are described. A base station transmits an UCI request to a UE, including: a request for ACK/NACK feedback corresponding to a set of HARQ identified processes, a request for channel state information report, and/or a scheduling request. The UCI request includes information which is used, by the UE, in determining the time and air link resources on which to send the UCI. The HARQ processes are communicated in a first Channel Occupancy Time (COT), while the ACK/NACK feedback is communicated in a later COT.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for operating multiple link premises devices in a wireless network. In one embodiment, premises devices such as a wireless gateway, Access Point (AP) or user devices use Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technology for the transmission of data on multiple links operating on different frequencies. The disclosed apparatus and methods provide a solution to share channel statistic or similar data across the different links, such as for link performance improvement via more optimal MIMO operation. In one implementation, large-scale channel statistics are shared via the pre-amble or mid-amble of a frame across multiple links between an AP and a user device to enhance receiver performance. In another embodiment, the channel statistics are shared between multiple AP devices which can coordinate with each other, and/or are made specific to individual client devices, in order to enhance receiver performance.
