Abstract: A data transmission method for use with a wireless mouse includes the following steps. Firstly, a mouse displacement data including a horizontal displacement and a vertical displacement is periodically transmitted from a wireless signal emitter to a wireless signal receiver in every wireless transmission time interval T1. Then, the horizontal displacement and the vertical displacement of the mouse displacement data are partitioned to acquire plural horizontal sub-displacements and plural vertical sub-displacements, respectively. Afterwards, one of the plural horizontal sub-displacements and one of the plural vertical sub-displacements are periodically transmitted from the wireless signal receiver to the computer system in every wired transmission time interval T2. By the data transmission method, the wired report rate is increased without largely increasing power consumption, and the moving trajectory of the wireless becomes smoother.

Abstract: The present invention provides a channel switching method for use with a wireless mouse by intelligently switching the communication channels with a wireless signal receiver. Firstly, the packet error rate is detected to discriminate whether the number of continuous failed packets is greater than a threshold value. Subsequently, the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) is detected to discriminate whether the wireless transmitter needs to switch the current communication channel with the wireless signal receiver.

Abstract: A removable cover system for protecting solar cells from exposure to moisture during fabrication processes. The cover system includes a cover having a configuration that complements the configuration of a solar cell substrate to be processed in an apparatus where moisture is present. A resiliently deformable seal member attached to the cover is positionable with the cover to engage and seal the top surface of the substrate. In one embodiment, the cover is dimensioned and arranged so that the seal member engages the peripheral angled edges and corners of the substrate for preventing the ingress of moisture beneath the cover. An apparatus for fabricating a solar cell using the cover and associated method are also disclosed.

Abstract: A computer peripheral device for controlling scroll bars in different windows is provided. The computer peripheral device includes a plurality of scroll bar controlling units and a signal processing unit. These scroll bar controlling units are used for generating a scroll bar controlling signal. The signal processing unit is used for analyzing the scroll bar controlling signal. According to the scroll bar controlling signal, the scroll bars in different windows are correspondingly controlled. A method for controlling scroll bars in different windows is also provided. Firstly, the signal source of the scroll bar controlling signal is analyzed. According to the signal source, the scroll bars in different windows are correspondingly controlled. Consequently, the speed of switching different windows is increased, and the working efficiency is enhanced.

Abstract: An automatic frequency hopping method is provided for use with a wireless device. The wireless device could transmit data in two or more communication frequency bands. According to the counts of successful data transmission in respective communication frequency bands, the reasons of communication failure are analyzed. According to the reasons of communication failure, the automatic frequency hopping method discriminates whether a frequency hopping procedure is performed. Since the frequency hopping procedure is performed when a proper frequency hopping condition is satisfied, the automatic frequency hopping method could achieve the power-saving purpose and avoid the wireless communication interference with other wireless devices.

Abstract: A testing and paring system is used in a wireless peripheral device production process. The testing and paring system includes a wireless receiver, plural wireless input devices and a jig. The jig transmits respective packets to the wireless receiver and the plural wireless input devices through the pairing channel, and receives respective response signals from the wireless receiver and the plural wireless input devices. If the response signals from the wireless receiver and the plural wireless input devices are successfully received by the jig, the wireless receiver and the plural wireless input devices are considered to have normal functions.
