摘要： An image recording apparatus, such as a copier or a printer which is capable of connecting with another recording apparatus, includes: a memory for storing image data corresponding to plural document pages; a mode selector for selecting one of a master mode in which the image data, stored in the memory, are transferred to the other image recording apparatus, and a slave mode in which the image recording apparatus receives image data transmitted from the other image recording apparatus; and a transmission/receiving controller for controlling transmitting and receiving of the image data according to the selection of one of the master and the slave modes. In the apparatus, the image data transmitted from the other image recording apparatus are stored in the memory and the image corresponding to the image data stored in memory is recorded on a recording paper. The recording operation is independent from an operation of the other image recording apparatus when the slave mode is selected.

摘要： An image density reading apparatus in which an image of a document is irradiated by a light source and a density signal is generated from an image light reflected from the image. In the apparatus, there is an amplifier for amplifying a density signal on the basis of an amplifying gain and a signal processor for processing the amplified density signal in accordance with a predetermined processing algorithm to output a gain control signal. 摘要： Disclosed is an image forming system, in which the printer controller is capable of performing the re-RIP (Regeneration Raster Image Processing) in conformity with the revised page order accepted from the image forming apparatus. When determining that the re-RIP is necessary, the image forming apparatus transmits a regeneration request including revised page order information, changed from the original page order, to the printer controller. Receiving the regeneration request, the printer controller reapplies the rasterization processing to the print data while using the data stored in advance in the storage section, to regenerate the revised image data corresponding to the page information, and then, transmits the revised image data to the image forming apparatus. Receiving the revised image data regenerated in response to the regeneration request, from the printer controller, the image forming apparatus employs the revised image data for performing the image forming operation in regard to the print job.

摘要： There is described an image forming apparatus that performs an image forming operation in a N-up printing mode based on a print job. The apparatus includes an image forming section; an operating section to designate the N-up printing mode, and to set an arranging method in the N-up printing mode; and a controlling section to apply image processing to the image data of the plural pages, so that the plural images are arranged onto the single paper sheet according to the arranging method set by the operating section. When implementing the image forming operation in the N-up printing mode, the controlling section groups the plural pages into plural groups, each of which includes specific pages fulfilling a same condition in respect to the image forming operation, and then, aligns the specific pages on a same line among plural lines extended along a conveying direction of the paper sheet.

摘要： The invention provides an image forming apparatus capable of performing an ordinary copy mode, whereby the entire surface of a document is scanned by an image reader to copy the entire surface on a copy sheet, and a serial page copy mode, whereby first and second half portions of the document are separately scanned to copy each half portion on a separate copy sheet. In the apparatus, copy sheets of different sizes are fed from a plurality of cassettes each storing a copy sheet of a predetermined size or a manual feed tray. There is provided a memory for memorizing a serial copy sheet size to be fed from the manual feed tray. When the serial page copy mode is selected in the manual feed mode, the image reader is controlled to separately scan the first and second half portions of the document on the basis of the serial copy sheet size.
