The service site includes a switch connected to a service platform. At least one multi-line hunt group is connected to the switch. A gateway interfaces each multi-line hunt group and the communication network. Each gateway converts audible information received over communication lines and signaling data received over each signaling line into a data format acceptable by the communication network.

    摘要: The method of implanting a femoral and a tibial knee prosthesis and instruments for surgically implanting the femoral and tibial prosthesis component as disclosed. The method includes the formation of a plurality of surgical cuts on the patient's distal femur. A trial tibial prosthesis is then fitted to the surgically prepared distal femur. The trial prosthesis has a femoral articulating surface and a non-articulating surface that fits the patient's distal femur at the surgical cuts. A surgeon then forms a transverse cut on the patient's proximal tibia. The surgeon places a tibial trial prosthesis on the patient's proximal tibia, the trial prosthesis including a tibial trial stem that fits the patient's intramedullary canal, a tibial trial metallic tray or plate, and a plastic trial insert that fits the tibial tray or plate. The plastic insert includes a tibial articulating surface that can articulate with the femoral articulating surface. The respective articulating surfaces are placed in contact and the surgeon then moves the patient's knee through a full range of motion. During this movement of patient's knee through a full range of motion, the surgeon uses a lever that is attached to the trial tibial prosthesis to rotate the trial tibial prosthesis about its stem. The surgeon can try different rotational positions of the tibial trial prosthesis each time moving the knee through a full range of motion to ensure proper orientation and an accurate fit.

The anchor member may be pivoted substantially in one plane with respect to the receiver member until locked.

    摘要: A method of preparing a patient's proximal tibia with a surgical saw and cutting instrumentation is disclosed. The method of the present invention prepares the patient's proximal tibial to receive a tibial implant. The patient's intramedullary canal is first reamed and then an intramedullary rod is placed in the intramedullary canal as a reference. A first cutting instrument is bound on the rod above the patient's proximal tibia. The first cutting instrument includes a stylus that is used to set the depth of cut by referencing the top of the proximal tibia. The proximal tibia is then transversely cut with the saw by tracking the first cutting guide surfaces with the saw. The first cutting instrument is removed together with its stylus. A secondary cutting instrument is then placed on the rod above the proximal tibia. The second cutting instrument has a cutter at its center for cutting longitudinally into the proximal tibia. A secondary cut is made on the proximal tibia by tracking the secondary cutting instrument and a guide surface provided on the upper end of the cutters that engage the center of the proximal tibia.

    摘要: An apparatus for use in orthopedic distraction or compression is disclosed. In the illustrated embodiments, two arms are provided that are connected by a rod or bar with a mechanism that enables the arms to be brought toward or away from each other. At the end of each arm, a tip for connecting to a bone implant is provided. The tips are pivotable with respect to the arms, and have an opening with a tab that allows insertion of an implant head having branches defining a channel. Once the tips are appropriately positioned, connected and locked to the bone implants, the mechanism can be operated to move the arms together in compression or apart in distraction.

    摘要: A multi-axial bone fixation implant includes an elongated member, one or more bone anchor assemblies, and stabilizer members which are fitted within the elongated member. A bone bolt having cancellous threads on one end and machine threads at the opposing end and an enlarged portion between these sections is also provided. The bone bolt is anchored into a bone via the cancellous thread end. The machine threaded end passes through an opening of the elongated member and the stabilizer, and is engaged by a coupled washer and nut. The washer includes an undercut within its oblong aperture, and the nut includes a projecting sleeve. The sleeve is inserted into the washer aperture and expanded, so that the undercut retains the sleeve within the washer without impairing the rotatability or translatability of the nut and washer with respect to each other. When locked by the nut and washer atop the elongated member, the enlarged portion of the bolt is forced against an inside wall of the stabilizer, which is in turn locked against the elongated member. Accordingly, the elongated member is fixed with respect to the bone anchor at one of an infinite number of multi-axial angles.

    摘要: A spinal implant system is disclosed for the fixation of bone segments in the spine. The system includes an elongated member, one or more bone anchor assemblies, and stabilizer members which are fitted within the elongated member. A bone anchor is attached to a bone, and the elongated member and stabilizer are fitted over the bone anchor. A rounded washer and nut having a corresponding rounded underside surface are fitted on to the bone anchor over the elongated member, and tightened. The configuration of the bone anchor assembly, including an intermediate portion of the bone anchor, the arcuate washer, and the nut, along with the configuration of the sliding support, allows multi-axial positioning of the bone anchor with respect to the elongated member at a plurality of locations along a slotted member.
