Abstract:
A method and system for rating multiple call destination types from a single video relay kiosk in a corrections facility. The method comprises receiving an indication of a first dialed phone number by a video relay kiosk in a corrections facility, the first dialed phone number representing a destination for a first phone call; querying a remote database or a local database or a third-party service provider to determine a first call destination type associated with the first dialed phone number; recording the first call destination type returned from the query; and recording a first charge for the first phone call, the first charge being based upon a first rate associated with the first call destination type returned from the query.
Abstract:
A video calling system, method, and computer-readable medium for post-call redirection comprising the steps of initiating a video call between at least two call participants, wherein at least one of the call participants is deaf, hard-of-hearing, or speech impaired; enabling post-call redirection for the video call; determining when the video call ends; and, in response to determining that the first video call has ended, redirecting at least one of the call participants to a post-call destination.
Abstract:
A method and system for video relay service calling with audio monitoring is described. The method includes initiating a video relay service call, the video relay service call including a video portion between a sign language interpreter and a user who is deaf, hard-of-hearing, or speech impaired (D-HOH-SI); an audio portion between the sign language interpreter and a called party; and one or more call parameters. The method further includes determining whether one of the call parameters indicates that the video relay service call should be monitored; in response to determining that the video relay service call should be monitored, directing at least the audio portion of the video relay service call to an audio monitoring service so that the audio portion of the video relay service call between the sign language interpreter and the called party can be monitored by the audio monitoring service.
Abstract:
An interactive sign language response (ISLR) system and method are described herein. The method includes receiving, by the interactive sign language response system, a video call from a videophone used by a video calling party, the video call including a video signal between the videophone and the interactive sign language response system; sending, by the interactive sign language response system and by way of the video call, a video prompt to be displayed on the videophone of the video calling party; and detecting, by the interactive sign language response system and by way of the video call, a response from the video calling party to the video prompt. In at least one embodiment, the interactive sign language recognition system performs automatic sign language recognition to determine one or more gestures in the video signal.
Abstract:
A method and system for defect localization includes: (i) receiving a test structure that includes at least one conductor that is at least partially covered by an electro-optically active material; (ii) providing an electrical signal to the conductor, such as charge at least a portion of the conductor; and (iii) imaging the test structure to locate a defect.
Abstract:
A method for process monitoring includes receiving a sample having a first layer that is at least partially conductive and a second layer formed over the first layer, following production of contact openings in the second layer by an etch process, the contact openings including a plurality of test openings having different, respective transverse dimensions. A beam of charged particles is directed to irradiate the test openings. In response to the beam, at least one of a specimen current flowing through the first layer and a total yield of electrons emitted from a surface of the sample is measured, thus producing an etch indicator signal. The etch indicator signal is analyzed as a function of the transverse dimensions of the test openings so as to assess a characteristic of the etch process.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method and system for providing a visual indication that a video relay service (VRS) call originates from an inmate at a corrections facility, in which the method includes initiating a video relay service (VRS) call from a corrections facility between a called party and an inmate incarcerated at the corrections facility; and displaying a visual indication on a VRS client used by the called party, the visual indication including at least one of a visual indication that the VRS call is originating from a corrections facility, a visual indication that the VRS call is from an inmate incarcerated at a corrections facility, and a visual indication that the VRS call is being recorded.
