摘要: The cap for the writing instrument comprises a jacket mounted slidably on a sealing insert or sleeve which provides a sealed moisture chamber for the writing tip when the cap is on the writing instrument. Near the writing tip there is a circular bulge on the shaft of the writing instrument which enters into a sealing engagement with an interior passage of the sealing insert. On putting the cap on the writing instrument the sealing insert is pushed over the circular bulge until it contacts a contacting stop on the jacket. Then the circular bulge presses tightly into the sealing insert and it locks the jacket to the writing instrument so that the entire arrangement is kept in that position until the cap is removed. A signal slider is attached with the sealing insert which is extendable out from the end of the jacket in order to signal in its extended position the proper seating of the cap on the writing instrument. Erroneous indications of a sealed state are prevented with our invention.

摘要: A dynamic CT imaging method is provided. With the method, projection measurement data for a region of an examination object to be imaged is captured, with simultaneous correlated capture of the respiratory movement of the examination object. A phase of the respiratory movement, for which image data is to be reconstructed, is selected. Phase projection measurement data assigned to the selected phase is also determined. Transition regions of partial images of the region to be imaged between successive respiratory cycles are then reconstructed on a trial basis based on a part of the phase projection measurement data, and a standard reconstruction is performed using parts of the phase projection measurement data for each of the successive respiratory cycles assigned to an optimum reconstruction.

摘要: A technique for allocating a uplink data volume 504 to uplink data pending for transmission in a telecommunications device is provided. As to a method aspect of the technique, a grant of the uplink data volume is received. A portion 502 of the granted uplink data volume is reserved for transmission of a buffer status report, which is to be provided by a Data Link layer 300 of the telecommunications device. A size of the buffer status report depends on a number of channels for which uplink data is pending. If an unreserved portion 503 of the granted uplink data volume is not sufficiently sized for the pending uplink data, the unreserved portion and at least a part of the reserved portion are allocated to at least a portion of the pending uplink data when the allocation corresponds to a reduction of a number of channels for which uplink data is pending so that the buffer status report is at least reduced in size.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for reducing impulsive interferences in a signal, without necessarily ascertaining a pitch frequency in the signal, detect onsets of the impulsive interferences by searching a spectrum of high-energy components for large temporal derivatives that are correlated along frequency and extend from a very low frequency up, possibly to about several kHz. The energies of the impulsive interferences are estimated, and these estimates are used to suppress the impulsive interferences. Optionally, techniques are employed to protect desired speech signals from being corrupted as a result of the suppression of the impulsive interferences.
