    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for switching channel connection between multiple optical channels synchronously and automatically. The apparatus employs an optical switch to interface among a plurality of optical channels, and an optical power meter to monitor data transmission over the plurality of optical channels by measuring the optical power level of optical signals over the channel. When signal transmission is detected over a specific optical channel, the optical switch is locked to the specific optical channel allowing data signals over the specific optical channel to be transmitted to a specific device or another optical channel through the optical switch. When no optical signal is detected over the channel, said optical switch will be switched to another optical channel, such that signal monitoring and switching channels among a plurality of optical channels is able to be performed synchronously and automatically.

    Abstract: A dimming system is composed of a dimmer having switchable power modes and at least one lighting device. When the dimmer is in a non-dimming bypass mode, an input power is directly transmitted to the at least one lighting device with the dimmer being bypassed so that the circuit in the dimmer consumes no power. When the dimmer is in a dimming mode, an output selector of the dimmer outputs a dimming output power having a dimming command therein to each one of the at least one lighting device for each lighting device to decode the dimming command embedded in the dimming output power and perform a dimming operation according to the dimming command. As the dimming operation lasts briefly, the power consumed by the dimmer is extremely small. Accordingly, no heat dissipation issue arises and the present invention is applicable to all sorts of high power lighting devices.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a full color flashlight with high power LEDs. The flashlight is primarily composed of a full color LED module having LED chip set of different wavelengths, a control-circuit module, a function switch, batteries, and a barrel body. By controlling the LED chip set of different wavelengths through the control-circuit module, light beams of various colors can be emitted and uniformly mixed. The flashlight further comprises a function switch for changing the color of light and/or switching operation modes between a fast flash mode, a slow flash mode, a brightness control mode and un-lighting.     Abstract: A gain controller has a tunable filter, a power detector and a filter controlling unit. The amplifier is connected in series in a major optical channel. The tunable filter is connected in parallel to the major optical channel to select a specific light signal from an output terminal of the amplifier and then output the specific light signal to the input terminal of the amplifier. The power detector and filter controlling unit is connected between an input terminal of the amplifier and the tunable filter to control the tunable filter output. The tunable filter outputs a light signal to the input terminal of the amplifier to maintain the input power of the amplifier. Therefore, gain of each light signal from the output terminal of the amplifier can be kept in a valuable range.
