摘要: A dual-band HP omnidirectional antenna includes an electrically small (ES) first omnidirectional loop antenna for a first band, and a second omnidirectional loop antenna for a second band. A loading effect of the second omnidirectional loop antenna adapted to suppress a higher-order mode of the first omnidirectional loop antenna.

摘要: A substrate-integrated dielectric resonator contains a substrate layer with a first dielectric constant, a plurality of dielectric vias, and a plurality of second vias. Each dielectric via includes a first via-hole extending through the substrate layer, and a dielectric material with a second dielectric constant contained within the first via-hole. Each second via has a second via-hole extending through the substrate layer and filled with gas. A dielectric resonator antenna containing a substrate-integrated dielectric resonator and a method of fabricating the same is also disclosed. By skillfully arranging second vias inside the DRA, the resonant frequencies of different modes can be controlled, and a wide impedance band-width with stable radiation performance can be achieved.

摘要: The present invention provides a single-fed wideband circularly-polarized dielectric resonant antenna. The antenna includes a lower antenna portion configured as a twisted inverted-frustum having a twist angle θ between its top and bottom surfaces, wherein the twist angle θ is greater than zero degrees and less than 5 degrees. An upper antenna portion extends from the lower antenna portion top surface. The upper portion includes plural interleaved slabs of first and second dielectric materials having respective first and second dielectric constants, the interleaved slabs having a stepwise-varying height between adjacent slabs. The antenna may be mounted on a printed circuit substrate at a 45 degree angle to an excitation slot. The antenna may be compact and easily manufactured using 3-D printing techniques.

摘要: Systems and methods which provide a hollow dielectric block dual-fed dual-frequency antenna configuration, such as may be utilized for wireless device communication in multiple RF bands, multi-frequency radar applications, etc., are described. Embodiments of a hollow dielectric block dual-fed dual-frequency antenna provide operation with respect to widely separated frequencies, such as to operate at frequencies in both a millimeter-wave band and a microwave band. A hollow dielectric block dual-fed dual-frequency antenna of embodiments of the invention may be fabricated from a single hollow dielectric block configured to integrate a dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) and a Fabry-Perot resonator antenna (FPRA), wherein the hollow dielectric block may be configured to serve as the resonator for the DRA and the superstrate for the FPRA simultaneously. The resonant frequencies of the DRA and FPRA of a hollow dielectric block dual-fed dual-frequency antenna of embodiments can be determined independently.
