    Abstract: In an example, a distributed relay includes a relay node master unit communicatively coupled to a base station; and one or more remote relay antenna units located remotely from the relay node master unit and communicatively coupled to the relay node master unit. The relay node master unit is configured to communicate demodulated and decoded data and/or demodulated data with the one or more remote relay antenna units via one or more transport interfaces, and the one or more remote relay antenna units are configured to communicate radio frequency signals to a coverage zone via one or more antennas. The relay node master unit includes a backhaul interface and an access interface. The backhaul interface is configured to implement communications between the relay node master unit and the base station. The access interface is configured to implement communications between the one or more remote relay antenna units and user equipment.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a multi-transceiver RF signal processing system comprises: a controller; a DPD core and CFR engine; and a plurality of transceiver paths comprising at least a first transceiver path for a first frequency block, and a second transceiver path for a second frequency block. The first frequency block is adjacent to the second frequency block. Signal processing outputs a stream of digital RF based on wireless RF signals received into the first and second transceiver paths. Signal processing inputs a first stream of digital RF and outputs a first digital RF signal corresponding to the first frequency block to the first transceiver path, and outputs a second digital RF signal corresponding to the second frequency block to the second transceiver path for wireless transmission via the at least one antenna. The DPD core applies a distortion that covers the first and second frequency blocks.

    Abstract: A service-area repeater for deployment in a service area to provide capacity supplied by a base station located remotely from the service-area repeater includes downlink circuitry to receive, via a donor antenna coupled to the service-area repeater, transformed RF downlink signals transmitted from the base station or a base-station repeater, the base station transforming original RF downlink signals or the base-station repeater transforming original RF downlink signals received from the base station to produce the transformed RF downlink signals. The downlink circuitry includes a signal transformation circuit to de-transform the received transformed RF downlink signals to generate non-transformed downlink signals and a frequency correction circuit to apply a frequency correction to the downlink signals to produce corrected downlink signals. The downlink circuitry wirelessly transmits the corrected downlink signals via a coverage antenna to user equipment in the service area.

    Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a system comprising a first signal path configured to receive a first uplink signal and a second signal path configured to receive a second uplink signal. The system further comprises a correlator communicatively coupled to the first signal path and the second signal path and configured to produce correlation data indicative of any correlation between the first uplink signal and the second uplink signal. The system further comprises a comparator communicatively coupled to the correlator and configured to cause, based on receiving the correlation data, a first variable gain device in the first signal path to adjust a gain of the first uplink signal and a second variable gain device in the second signal path to adjust a gain of the second uplink signal.     Abstract: A configurable wide area distributed antenna system is provided. At least one remote master unit of the system is in communication with at least one base station. The local master unit is in communication with at least one remote antenna unit used to provide communication coverage in a select coverage area.     Abstract: In an example, a distributed antenna system (DAS) includes a central unit configured to be coupled to a base station and the central unit is configured to receive downlink signals from the base station. The central unit is also configured to support a plurality of transmission bands and a plurality of receiver bands. The DAS further includes a plurality of remote units configured to communicate wireless signals in a coverage area of the distributed antenna system, and the plurality of remote units are communicatively coupled to the central unit and located remotely from the central unit. The DAS is configured to mitigate interference using dynamic allocation of at least one of the plurality of transmission bands and/or at least one of the plurality of receiver bands among the plurality of remote units.
