Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a process for preparing a catalytically active scaffold from a scaffold material, and in particular activating a surface of a scaffold by chemically removing sacrificial material from the surface of the scaffold to provide catalytically reactive sites on the surface of the scaffold.
