摘要: A medicament delivery device including a housing for receiving a syringe, the housing having first and second casing parts separably attachable to one another. The device further includes a sleeve receivable within the housing and including a tubular wall having an inner surface delimiting a bore and an opposing outer surface. A locking member is receivable within the second casing part such that the locking member is axially movable between first and second axial positions relative to the second casing part. In the first axial position the locking member is engageable with the outer surface to inhibit an axial movement of the sleeve relative to the first casing part. In the second axial position the locking member is disengageable from the outer surface. The device, in one or more embodiments, includes an application as an autoinjector.

摘要: An injection device having an outer housing configured to receive a syringe. The syringe has a barrel for containing medicament and a needle in fluid communication with the barrel. The device further has a needle shield axially moveable relative to the outer housing between a needle covering position and a needle exposing position and a biasing means to bias the needle shield axially forwardly toward the needle covering position. A locking sleeve, axially movable relative to the outer housing between a non-locking position and a locking position, selectively limits axial movement of the needle shield. In a first configuration, the needle shield is axially slideable within the locking sleeve to permit rearward axial movement of the needle shield from the needle covering position to the needle exposing position. In a subsequent configuration, the needle shield is prevented from moving axially rearwardly by interference with the locking sleeve, thereby maintaining the needle shield in the needle protecting position. The device may reduce the risk of needle stick injuries when compared to known injection devices and also may prevent unintentional re use of the device.

摘要: A medicament delivery device has a syringe, a housing, a needle shield, a biasing member and one or more blocking members. The needle shield is biased axially forwardly by the biasing member so as to selectively cover a needle of the syringe. However, the biasing member is prevented from biasing the needle shield axially forwardly until a radial movement of the blocking members has occurred, which is precipitated by a forward axial movement of the syringe. Consequently, the forward movement of the syringe releases the needle shield to automatically make safe the device.

摘要: A medicament delivery device (10) comprising a syringe (12) having a barrel with an open end, and an axially moveable stopper (18) received in the barrel separating a first chamber axially forwards of the stopper from a second chamber axially rearwards of the stopper. The medicament delivery device further including an expandable drive housing (24) arranged to receive a propellant from a propellant source (36) for providing a vapour pressure, the expandable drive housing having a narrow channel in fluid communication with the second chamber. The expandable drive housing is expandable upon receiving propellant from the propellant source and, upon expansion, causes forward axial movement of the syringe. Propellant introduced into the expandable housing may pass through the narrow channel into the second chamber and cause forward axial movement of the stopper in the barrel to expel medicament contained in the first chamber through the open end, where axial movement of the stopper in the barrel commences after axial movement of the syringe.
