Systems and methods are provided herein for improving the selectivity and productivity of sensors via digital signal processing techniques. According to one illustrative embodiment, in an electrochemical method for monitoring of a select analyte in a mixed sample with an interfering analyte, an improvement is provided that includes applying a large amplitude potential stimulus waveform to the sample to generate a nonlinear current signal; and resolving a signal contribution from the select analyte in the generated signal by a vector projection method with an analyte vector comprising a plurality of real and imaginary parts of one or more Fourier coefficients at one or more frequencies of a reference current signal for the select analyte.

Systems and processes are provided for maintaining threaded context in a Web application. For example, a process is provided which includes assembling and sending to a user computer a Web page document, the Web page document including a threaded context packet in an element that will be automatically returned unchanged. The process further includes receiving a request for a second Web page document including the threaded context packet, and interpreting the unchanged content of the threaded context packet to determine the context when the Web page document was transmitted.

A process for precision measurement of charged particle emissions from a surface and an apparatus for providing a high resolution digital image of the distribution of such emissions in a minimum exposure time over a relatively large surface area. The process of measurement uses the direction of emissions as determined by two or more position measuring elements of an area detector. The apparatus is based on multiple region detector elements that employ proportional amplification of ionization in a gas.

Abstract:
A method, useful in computer-aided design, for finding configurations of collections of geometric elements representing shapes of physical objects that satisfy a set of geometric constraints, when these constraints relate to topological properties of the geometric elements. In particular, the invention relates to a method that classifies the geometric elements in terms of degrees of freedom, categorizes topological properties in terms of biases, and synthesizes a solution by progressively reducing the total degrees of freedom in the system.
