Abstract: A cooling plate assembly for dual-sided cooling, the cooling plate assembly can include a first cooling plate and a second cooling plate. The first cooling plate that has a first cooling plate connector side and a first cooling plate cooling side that is opposite the first cooling plate connector side. The second cooling plate that has a second cooling plate connector side and a second cooling plate cooling side that is opposite the second cooling plate connector side. The second cooling plate is configured to attach to the first cooling plate such that formed between the first cooling plate connector side and the second cooling plate connector side is at least one cooling passage through which a cooling fluid is flowed to transfer heat from both the first cooling plate cooling side and the second cooling plate cooling side to the cooling fluid.

Abstract: A method and system of performing a pole switching operation in a multi-phase machine include operating the multi-phase machine in a first configuration with a first number of poles, where the first number of poles is based on a first number of phases in the first configuration and a number of stator slots allocated for each winding in the multi-phase machine. Abstract: A method for operating a motor control system to dynamically compensate for low-frequency and/or high-frequency torque ripple. Embodiments include receiving an input command, receiving drive feedback signals representative of drive currents in a motor, identifying harmonics in the drive feedback signals representative of motor torque ripple, producing torque ripple compensation signals based on the identified harmonics; and producing motor drive control signals based on the input command, the current feedback signals, the torque ripple compensation signals, and carrier signals with a certain phase shift.

Abstract: A power supply for use with an N-phase multiphase machine comprises an inverter, an isolation stage and a rectifier The inverter is configured to be coupled to a DC power supply and includes N machine switch circuits for providing N-phase machine drive signals to the multiphase machine in response to N-phase machine drive commands, and an auxiliary switch circuit for providing an auxiliary AC output in response to auxiliary control commands. The isolation stage coupled to the auxiliary switch circuit and generates an isolated AC output. Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of selectively charging or discharging a system with multiple battery packs connected in parallel when at least one of the battery packs has a significantly different voltage or states of charge (SOCs) than the other battery packs. The method includes charging or discharging the battery pack(s) with a voltage or state of charge (SOC) farthest from a target value until the voltage(s) or SOC(s) is within a range of another battery pack at which point the battery packs may be connected and charging or discharging can resume for the set of connected packs. This process is repeated until all the battery packs are at a predetermined minimum or maximum voltage or SOC threshold. The present disclosure also provides a method for selectively operating and charging at least one of a plurality of battery packs depending on the respective states of the battery packs.
