Abstract: An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate having a first surface on which an antenna part is formed and a second surface on which a base plate is formed. The antenna part has one or more antenna patterns configured to act as radiating elements. The antenna patterns resonate in one or more resonance directions to incident waves having an operating frequency of the antenna part, thereby generating emitted waves having polarized waves different from those of transmitted/received waves which are transmitted/received by the antenna part. For each of the resonance directions, the antenna patterns include at least one line pattern having a width which is narrower than the total width of the antenna patterns in a direction perpendicular to the resonance direction.

Abstract: An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate, a ground plane, an antenna unit, and an additional functional unit. The dielectric substrate includes a plurality of pattern formation layers. The ground plane is formed on a first pattern formation layer included in the plurality of pattern formation layers, and acts as an antenna grounding surface. The antenna unit is formed on a pattern formation layer that is included in the plurality of pattern formation layers and that is different from the first pattern formation layer. The antenna unit includes one or more antenna patterns configured to act as radiation elements. The additional functional unit includes one or more parasitic patterns provided on a propagation path for a surface propagating over the dielectric substrate, and causes the surface wave to generate a radiation wave with polarization different from polarization of a radio wave transmitted and received by the antenna unit.

Abstract: A dielectric substrate has a first surface formed with a base plate and a second surface formed with an antenna part. The antenna part has one or more antenna patterns. An additional function part has a plurality of conductor patterns arranged around the antenna part. Abstract: A radar apparatus transmits a radar wave, with a control parameter being set to a desired value, and acquires an initial transmission level from outside the radar apparatus, the initial transmission level being a result of measurement of a transmission level of the radar wave. At the same time, the radar apparatus receives a delayed wave of the radar wave from outside the radar apparatus, and acquires an initial reception level which is a result of measurement of a reception level of the delayed wave. The radar apparatus then sets a target reception level according to a preset target transmission level, and the initial transmission level and the initial reception level acquired. The radar apparatus then repeats update of the control parameter and measurement of the reception level until the reception level coincides with the target reception level.

Abstract: A radar system detects an object using radar waves and includes an antenna surface and a cover part. The antenna surface is provided with at least one array antenna arranged on a collinear arrangement straight line. The cover part covers the front of an antenna of the array antenna, where the front of the antenna is the side away from which radar waves are radiated with respect to the antenna surface as a boundary. The at least one array antenna is provided with at least one unit antenna where a plurality of antenna elements that radiate radar waves of the same phase are arranged in the same direction as the arrangement straight line. The unit antenna is arranged in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement straight line along the antenna surface. The cover part is configured such that the incidence angle of the radar waves is equal to or less than a Brewster angle.
