    Abstract: A travel assistance method that is performed by a computer including at least one processor is provided. The travel assistance method assists travel of a subject vehicle and includes: setting a start point and an end point of a route where the subject vehicle travels along a curve; assuming a triangle including the start point and the end point; setting a control point on each of two sides of the triangle to assume a quadrangle; calculating a route line accommodated in the quadrangle; and assisting the subject vehicle in traveling along the curve.

    Abstract: In an accident pattern determination apparatus including a storage storing attributes assigned to respective ones of a plurality of predefined traffic situations, an acquirer acquires, for each of vehicle-related accident cases, an accident pattern that is a combination of traffic situations in the accident case, from the plurality of predefined traffic situations. A determiner determines, for each accident pattern acquired by the acquirer, whether the accident pattern is an accident pattern of high accident risk or an accident pattern of low accident risk for specific vehicles, based on the accident patterns acquired for the respective accident cases and the attributes assigned to respective ones of the plurality of predefined traffic situations.

    Abstract: A driver assistance control device for a vehicle is provided. The driver assistance control device comprises an acquiring unit that acquires detected driving conditions of a vehicle and driving environment of the vehicle, and a control unit that determines a mode of driver assistance depending on at least one of the acquired driving conditions and the driving environment and make the driver assistance units execute the driver assistance in accordance with the determined mode of driver assistance. When the mode of the driver assistance is changed, the control unit reduces the change in the mode of the driver assistance for a predetermined first transition period. This keeps a balance between suppressing behavior change of a vehicle and rapidly switching the modes of driver assistance.

    Abstract: In a cruise assist system, a turning angle controller executes at least one of an automatic cruise control task that automatically controls a turning angle of the vehicle, and an assist control task that controls the turning angle of the vehicle in accordance with an occupant's operation of the steering wheel. A holding determiner includes an input detector detecting an occupant's physical input to a steering shaft via a steering wheel based on at least one of a first type physical quantity and second type physical quantities. Each of the first and second physical quantities depends on rotational movement of the steering shaft. The first type physical quantity contains the occupant's physical input, and a disturbance input, which is different therefrom, to the steering shaft. The second type physical quantities have a physical relationship therebetween, which is changed depending on the occupant's physical input.
