    Abstract: A relief valve capable of reducing pressure of fuel in a discharge passage includes: a valve housing having a communication hole; a valve member provided in a reciprocating manner against the valve housing, and the valve member regulates a flow of the fuel between a discharge passage and a fuel chamber when the valve member is brought into contact with an inner wall formed around the communication hole and the valve member allows the flow of the fuel between the discharge passage and the fuel chamber when the valve member is separated from the inner wall; a spring that biases the valve member such that the valve member and the inner wall are in contact with each other; an adjusting pipe provided at a side opposite to the inner wall with respect to the valve member and configured to adjust biasing force of the spring; and a stopper that is formed as a different component from the adjusting pipe and that regulates movement of the valve member in a valve opening direction by abutting on the valve member.

    Abstract: A high-pressure pump includes a valve member that allows or blocks a flow of fuel to a pressure chamber. A needle is reciprocable inside a cylinder member. One end of the needle facing the pressure chamber is provided with the valve member. Another end of the needle is provided with a movable core that faces a fixed core in an axial direction of the needle. The high-pressure pump includes a coil assembly that includes a coil, a terminal connected to the coil, and first and second yokes that form a magnetic circuit on both sides of the coil in the axial direction. The coil assembly is between a first connection portion and a second connection portion. The first connection portion connects the coil assembly and the fixed core. The second connection portion connects the coil assembly and the cylinder member.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic body has a movable core reciprocatably movable within a movable core chamber. The movable core has through holes and a fitting hole that pass through the movable core in a direction of movement of the movable core. A stator core facing the movable core defines the movable core chamber together with the electromagnetic body. A valve stem is fixed into the fitting hole and has a fluid chamber recessed from a first end surface facing the stator core. Air bubbles generated in a gap can be guided into the fluid chamber and collapse by flow of the fuel flowing into the fluid chamber from the through holes through the gap.
