    Abstract: A protective element includes: a fuse element cuttable by energization in a first direction; a slider made of an insulating material, including: a plate-shaped portion extending in the first direction; a shielding portion erected in a second direction on the plate-shaped portion, having a shielding-portion through hole penetrating the shielding portion; and a case made of an insulating material, including a housing portion which houses a slider and a portion of the fuse element. The housing portion includes: a shielding-portion housing space which houses the shielding portion such that the shielding portion is movable in the second direction; and a plate-shaped-portion moving space which houses the plate-shaped portion such that the plate-shaped portion is movable in the second direction Prior to the fuse element being cut, the slider and the fuse element are housed such that the fuse element is inserted into the shielding-portion through hole.

    Abstract: A fuse element is a fuse element (1) including a flat plate-shaped blowout section (1e) with no through-hole disposed between a first terminal (20a) and a second terminal (20b), in which a width (1d) of the blowout section (1e) has a length equal to or greater than 80% of a width (2d) of each of joining portions joining the first terminal (20a) and the second terminal (20b) to the blowout section (1e). The width (1d) of the blowout section (1e) is preferably a length equal to or greater than 95% of the width (2d) of each of the joining portions.

    Abstract: Provided is a fuse device used for high rating and high current applications excellent in impact resistance at the time of current interruption, and capable of preventing falling off of the case. The fuse device includes: a base member; a cover member fitted to the base member and covering a surface of the base member; and a fuse element mounted on the surface of the base member; wherein one of the base member and the cover member is provided with a side wall intersecting with the plane of the surface of the base member and including an opening formed therein, and the other of the base member and the cover member is provided with a fitting projection projecting outward from a plane intersecting with the plane of the surface of the base member and fitted into the opening of the side wall.

    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an electric wire having an excellent electrical conductivity in use of the high melting point metal and being able to surely cut off by fusing the conductive material itself at a temperature lower than the melting point of the high melting point metal, even where heat is generated from flowing overcurrent in the electrical circuit. The electric wire of the invention has a feature including a conductive material formed of a first conductive member made of a low melting point metal, and a second conductive member made of a high melting point metal, which are provided adjacent to each other, wherein the conductive material is fused by erosion of the high melting point metal according to melting of the low melting point metal.

    Abstract: A fuse element as well as a fuse device and protective device using the same which are capable of suppressing generation of defects such as cracks in a high melting point metal layer, maintaining good conduction, and maintaining blowout properties. The fuse element includes a laminated low melting point metal layer and high melting point metal layer and at least one peak among peaks in an X-ray diffraction spectrum (2θ) of a surface of the high melting point metal layer has a full width at half maximum of 0.15 degrees or less.
