Abstract: A polyethylene copolymer blend consisting essentially of (A) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer and (B) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer. The polyethylene copolymer blend is defined by constituents (A) and (B) and at least one omitted material that would have otherwise restricted a physical property of the blend. The (A) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in weight percent (wt %), and bipolymer melt index (I2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min.). The (B) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in wt %, carbon monoxide comonomeric content in wt %, and terpolymer melt index (I2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in g/10 min. Also formulations, cured polymer products, strippable semiconductive insulation shield layers, coated conductors, methods of making and using same.

Abstract: The polymer blend includes at least 90% by weight low density polyethylene (LDPE) polymer and from 1% to 10% by weight acid copolymer based on the total weight of the polymer blend. In the polymer blend, the LDPE polymer has a melt index (I? 2#191) from 2 g/10 min to 8 g/10 min as determined in accordance with ASTM D1238, and a molecular weight distribution from 5 to 10.5. In the polymer blend, the acid copolymer is a polymerized reaction product of: at least 60% by weight ethylene, based on the total weight of the monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer; from 1% to 20% by weight monocarboxylic acid monomer, based on the total weight of the monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer; and from 0 to 20% by weight alkyl acrylate monomer, based on the total weight of the monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer.

Abstract: Embodiments of polymer blends may include a first polymer composition and a second polymer composition. The first polymer composition may include a polyolefin having a thermal transition temperature of at least 100° C. and a graftable monomer having at least one acid or anhydride functional group grafted onto the polyolefin. The second polymer composition may include an E/X/Y ethylene interpolymer, wherein E is an ethylene monomer and comprises greater than 50 wt. % of the interpolymer, X is an α,β-unsaturated C3-C8 carboxylic acid and comprises greater than 0 to 25 wt. % of the interpolymer, and Y is an optional comonomer comprising C1-C8 alkyl acrylate.
