Abstract: The invention relates to an aqueous polyolefin dispersion having a pH value from 8.6-12.5 containing a. from 50 to 100 wt. % of an aqueous dispersion A comprising the following ingredients: i. from 31 to 90 wt. % of A1, a copolymer of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid having a content of (meth)acrylic based groups of at least 11 wt. % based on the total weight of the copolymer or a mixture of different copolymers of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid each having a content of (meth)acrylic based groups of at least 11 wt. % based on the total weight of the copolymer, ii. from 10 to 69 wt. % of A2, another olefinic stricture units containing polymer, not being a copolymer of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid, or a mixture of other olefinic structure units containing polymers not being a copolymers of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid, and iii. from 0-35 wt. % of additive different from A1 and A2, b. from 0 to 50 wt. % of other ingredient(s) B, where compound B is a material dispersible or soluble in water and different from any of the ingredients of dispersion A wherein—the wt. % of A and B is based on the solid content of the whole aqueous polyolefin dispersion,—the wt. % of the ingredients of dispersion A is based on the solid content of dispersion A.—the sum of the wt. % of ingredients i to iii of dispersion A is 100% and wherein the pH of the dispersion is in the range of 9.5 to 11 and/or the dispersion contains, as an ingredient of B, more than 5 and less than 35 wt. % of PEG, based on the solid content of the whole aqueous dispersion.

Abstract: A method for producing an anisotropic conductive film, which includes mixing a base polymer with an initiator and a first solvent to obtain a first mixture, dispersing conductive microspheres in an alcohol or a second solvent containing a surfactant to obtain a second mixture, mixing the first mixture with a monomer, a binder, and the second mixture to obtain a third mixture, and laminating the third mixture on a carrying film, followed by drying, so as to obtain the anisotropic conductive film. An anisotropic conductive film produced by the method and a composition for forming the anisotropic conductive film are also disclosed.

Abstract: Polymer blends, films, and coated substrates that include the polymer blends. The polymer blends include at least 90% by weight low density polyethylene polymer and from 1 to 10% by weight ionomer. The LDPE polymer has a melt index (I2)from 2 g/10 mins to 6 g/10 mins, and a molecular weight distribution from 5 to 11 as determined by a conventional gel permeation chromatography method. The ionomer includes an ethylene acid copolymer, in which from 15% to 70% of acid groups are neutralized by sodium cation based on the total number of acid groups in the acid copolymer. The ethylene acid copolymer is the polymerized reaction product of: at least 50% by wt. ethylene, from 2 wt. % to 40 wt. % of monocarboxylic acid monomer, and from 0 to 20 wt. % of alkyl acrylate, based on the total wt. % of the monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer.

Abstract: A flame-retardant cable having a core is disclosed. The cable contains at least one conductor and a coating made from a low smoke zero halogen flame-retardant polymer composition. The polymer composition contains a halogen free base polymer added with a) less than 170 phr of at least one metal hydroxide; b) from 1 to 10 phr of a phyllosilicate clay; c) at least 1 phr and less than 10 phr of melamine or a derivative thereof; and d) an alkali or alkaline-earth metal carbonate. The cable has improved reaction to fire performances especially in that no dripping occurs during burning, which renders it compliant with the requirements of the more recent international standards.
