摘要: The present disclosure provides a film. In an embodiment, a film for suppressing odors is provided and includes a composition of (A) from 85 wt % to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic polymer and (B) from 15 wt % to 1 wt % of an odor suppressant. The odor suppressant is a blend composed of (Bi) particles of zinc oxide and (Bii) zinc ionomer. The zinc oxide particles (Bi) have a D50 particle size from 100 nm to 3000 nm, a surface area from 1 m2/g to 9 m2/g, and a porosity less than 0.020 m3/g. The composition has a methyl mercaptan odor suppression value less than 70 at 3 days exposure to methyl mercaptan as measured in accordance with ASTM D5504-12.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of dewatering an aqueous mineral suspension comprising introducing into the suspension a flocculating system comprising a mixture of polyethylene glycol and polyethylene oxide polymers, in particular a mixture of one or more low molecular mass polyethylene glycol with one or more high molecular mass polyethylene oxide. Said mixture of polyethylene glycol and polyethylene oxide polymers is useful for the treatment of suspensions of particulate material, especially waste mineral slurries. The invention is particularly suitable for the treatment of tailings and other waste material resulting from mineral processing, in particular, the processing of oil sands tailings.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a process. The process includes (i) melt blending, in an extruder, (a) a polyolefin phase and (b) an aqueous phase in the presence of (c) at least one dispersant selected from an acrylic dispersant, a poloxamer dispersant, and combinations thereof; (ii) producing an interfacial tension from 0.1 dynes/cm to 25 dynes/cm; (iii) forming a polyolefin aqueous dispersion having from 25 wt % to 90 wt % solids content of dispersion; and (iv) removing the water from the polyolefin aqueous dispersion to form a powder. The powder has a mean volume average particle size from 10 μm to 300 μm, a sphericity from 0.92 to 1.0, a particle size distribution from 1 to less than 2, and a particle density from 98% to 100%.

In an embodiment, the composition includes (A) from 85 wt % to 99 wt % of an olefin-based polymer and (B) from 15 wt % to 1 wt % of an odor suppressant. 摘要: The present invention relates to an improved bitumen recovery process from oil sands. The oil sands may be surface mined and transported to a treatment area or may be treated directly by means of an in situ process of oil sand deposits that are located too deep for strip mining. Specifically, the present invention involves the step of treating oil sands with a propylene oxide capped glycol ether described by the structure: RO—(C2H4O)n—CH2CH(CH3)OH wherein R is a linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl, phenyl, alkyl phenyl group and n is 1 to 10.

摘要: A method for forming a polyurethane coating on an industrial roller includes applying a coating that is a product of a coating forming reaction mixture, which includes a prepolymer component and a curative component, to an industrial roller. The prepolymer component includes a polycarbonate prepolymer, which is a product of a prepolymer forming reaction mixture that includes an isocyanate component and a polycarbonate polyol, and the prepolymer component is present in the coating forming reaction mixture in an amount from 30 wt % to 80 wt %, based on a total weight of the coating forming reaction mixture. The curative component includes a chlorinated aromatic diamine curative agent, and the curative component is present in the coating forming reaction mixture in an amount from 5 wt % to 20 wt %, based on the total weight of the coating forming reaction mixture. Further, the coating is cured to form a polyurethane coating layer on the industrial roller.

摘要: A two-component curable adhesive or sealant composition is provided. The first component may comprise a mixture of at least one polyol selected from the group comprising a polyester polyol, a polyester-polycarbonate copolymer polyol, and combinations thereof, a resin, and optionally a solvent. The second component may comprise a prepolymer obtained by reacting a polyester-polycarbonate copolymer polyol which is the reaction product of a polyester polyol which is the reaction product of one or more organic acids, and one or more glycols having a functionality of two or more and one or more polycarbonate polyols, at least one organic polyisocyanate component, and at least one chain extending agent and optionally a solvent. Alternatively, the first component may comprise a polyester-polycarbonate copolymer polyol, a resin, and optionally a solvent. The second component may comprise a polyisocyanate curative and optionally a solvent. The cured adhesive exhibits improved hydrolytic properties while maintaining excellent processability and adhesive properties.
