Abstract: The present disclosure provides a dispenser for dispensing flexible sheets. The dispenser includes (A) a pouch composed of at least one flexible multilayer film. The pouch includes (i) a front wall joined to a rear wall along a top seal and a bottom seal and (ii) a first sidewall and an opposing second sidewall. Each sidewall is joined to the front wall and the rear wall with a respective first side seal and a second side seal. The pouch also includes (iii) a flap above the pouch that is joined to the pouch along the top seal. The dispenser also includes (B) a roll of continuous flexible sheets in an interior of the pouch. The dispenser further includes (C) a slot along the front wall through which the flexible sheets are removed from the pouch.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods of making films and methods of making packages. In one aspect, a method of making a film having a beta ratio and a permeability comprises: (a) selecting a polyolefin, the polyolefin comprising low density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyolefin elastomer, polyolefin plastomer, or a combination thereof; (b) identifying a target beta ratio and a target oxygen permeability for the film; (c) selecting one or more additives based on the target beta ratio, the one or more additives comprising calcium carbonate, carbon black, ethylene vinyl acetate, or a combination thereof; (d) determining an amount of the selected additive(s) based on the target beta ratio and the target oxygen permeability; and (e) forming a film comprising the polyolefin and the selected additive(s), wherein the film has the target beta ratio and the target oxygen permeability.

Abstract: A process for separating and recovering at least one polymer component from a melt of a multiple number of polymer components including the steps of: (A) shearing a multi-polymer component melt in the presence of a pressurized aqueous solution; wherein the multi-polymer component melt comprises a blend of at least a first polymer component and at least a second polymer component; wherein the multi-polymer component melt has at least two melting temperatures, at least two glass transition temperatures or combinations thereof; wherein the pressurized aqueous solution comprises an aqueous liquid mixture of: (i) water, and (ii) at least one dispersing agent; wherein the shearing of the multi-polymer component melt in contact with the pressurized aqueous solution forms a dispersion, particles, or strands of the at least one first polymer component having an enriched first polymer component concentration; and (B) after the shearing of step (A), isolating the at least first polymer component from the other polymer components of the multi-polymer component melt by separating the dispersion, particles, or strands of the at least one first polymer component having an enriched first polymer component concentration from the water, the at least one dispersing agent, the at least second polymer component, and any remaining thermoplastic polymer resins present in the mixture of the multi-polymer component melt in the pressurized aqueous solution.
