Abstract: The present disclosure relates to thick film dielectric layers which exhibit low dielectric constants and reduced tendency to permit sinking of the top electrode into the dielectric during firing, the dielectrics having two layers. The first layer is a borosilicate glass layer with an optional additional phase of finely divided silica, and the second layer is a glass ceramic. The dielectrics are useful in multilayer circuitry, especially as cross-over dielectrics.
