摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball resin composition that comprises an ionomer resin with an excellent resilience and fluidity. Another object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball excellent in the resilience without lowering the durability significantly in a golf ball using the ionomer resin for the intermediate layer. The present invention provides a golf ball resin composition comprising, 100 parts by mass of (A) an ionomer resin consisting of a metal ion-neutralized product of a ternary copolymer composed of ethylene, α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms and α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, and from 25 parts to 100 parts by mass of (B) a metal salt of a fatty acid having 18 to 30 carbon atoms. The golf ball of the present invention is not limited, as long as it comprises a constituent member formed from the golf ball resin composition of the present invention.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball showing a small ratio of a spin rate on driver shots to a spin rate on approach shots. The present invention provides a multi-piece golf ball comprising a spherical center, three or more envelope layers covering the spherical center, and a cover covering the envelope layers, wherein adjacent two envelope layers are formed so as to include a region composed of elements having a hitting deformation ratio of 30% or more, the hitting deformation ratio being obtained by analyzing a specified golf ball model by a finite element method; and the envelope layer which is radially outwardly positioned of the adjacent two envelope layers has a lowest hardness among all the envelope layers.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball resin composition excellent in shot feeling and resilience. The golf ball resin composition includes (A) at least one resin component selected from the group consisting of (a-1) a binary copolymer composed of an olefin and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, (a-2) an ionomer resin consisting of a metal ion-neutralized product of the binary copolymer components, (a-3) a ternary copolymer composed of the binary copolymer components and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, and (a-4) an ionomer resin consisting of a metal ion-neutralized product of the ternary copolymer components; and (B) a basic metal salt of a fatty acid, and having a storage modulus E′ (Pa) and a loss modulus E″ (Pa) satisfying a following expression; log(E′/E″2)≧−5.84 when measured in a tensile mode using a dynamic viscoelasticity measuring apparatus.

The present invention provides a golf ball forming resin composition comprising as a resin component, (A) a high melt viscosity resin; (B) a low melt viscosity ionomer resin having a melt viscosity (190° C.) ranging from 1 Pa·s to 10 Pa·s measured by a brookfield viscometer, in a ratio of (A) the high melt viscosity resin/(B) the low melt viscosity ionomer resin being 55 mass % to 99 mass %/45 mass % to 1 mass %; and (C) a metal ion source capable of neutralizing carboxyl groups of (A) the high melt viscosity resin and (B) the low melt viscosity ionomer resin, in an amount of from 0.1 part to 10 parts with respect to 100 parts by mass of a sum of (A) the high melt viscosity resin and (B) the low melt viscosity ionomer resin.

摘要: The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a spherical core composed of a spherical inner core layer and an outer core layer, an intermediate layer and a cover, wherein the inner core layer has a hardness difference (Hs1−Ho) between a surface hardness (Hs1) and a center hardness (Ho) of 5 or less in JIS-C hardness, the outer core is such that R2 of a linearly approximated curve obtained from a least square method is 0.95 or higher, when JIS-C hardness, measured at nine points obtained by dividing a thickness of the outer core in a radius direction of the spherical core into equal parts having 12.5% intervals therebetween, is plotted against distance (%) from a border point between the outer core layer and the inner core layer, and the intermediate layer has a slab hardness which is greater than a slab hardness of the cover.

The center is formed from a composition containing at least one resin component and a basic metal salt of a fatty acid. The resin component is selected from a binary copolymer composed of an olefin and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, an ionomer resin consisting of a metal ion-neutralized product of a binary copolymer composed of an olefin and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, a ternary copolymer composed of an olefin, an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, and an ionomer resin consisting of a metal ion-neutralized product of a ternary copolymer composed of an olefin, an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester. The envelope layer is formed from a composition containing a thermoplastic resin and/or a thermoplastic elastomer as a resin component.

摘要: A first golf ball 2 includes a core 4, a mid-layer 6, and a cover 8. The core 4 includes a center 10 and an envelope layer 12. The mid-layer 6 includes a metal ion source (C) that can neutralize an ionomer resin. The mid-layer 6 has a melt flow rate (at 190° C. and 2.16 kg) of 4 g/10 minute or greater. The difference (H3−H1) between the JIS-C hardness H3 of the cover 8 and the JIS-C central hardness H1 of the center 10 is equal to or greater than 45. A second golf ball 22 includes a core 24, a mid-layer 28, and a cover 30. The mid-layer 28 has a melt flow rate (at 190° C. and 2.16 kg) of 4 g/10 minute or greater. Preferably, the mid-layer 28 includes a high melt viscosity resin (A), a low melt viscosity ionomer resin (B), and a metal ion source (C1).
