摘要： A golf club loft and lie calibration machine has a fixture with a cavity that exactly matches the back of the golf club head for clamping the golf club head. A pin with a tapered end is inserted into the bore of the golf club's hosel. The angular displacement of the pin is mechanically converted into two components of angular displacement which components are then converted to electrical signals. The electrical signals are processed to determine the deviations from the specified loft and lie angles. The deviation is used to activate hydraulic rams distributed around the fixture to bend the golf club head's hosel and bring the golf club back to specification.

摘要： An automatic loading machine is provided for aligning and loading a predetermined amount of elongated strips of product into individual containers wherein batches of elongated strips are periodically discharged from a product feed. A turret assembly is provided which has a plurality of buckets and each of the batches from the product feed is received by a separate bucket. The turret assembly is continuously vibrated and, as each bucket moves through a horizontal path, the batches of elongated strips carried therein become somewhat more aligned. The strips are dropped out of the buckets onto a flight conveyor and are conveyed to a discharge point where each batch is transferred into a separate container.

摘要： The invention provides devices and methods for suture placement while performing less invasive surgical procedures within a body cavity. In an exemplary embodiment, the invention provides for the placement of sutures within the heart or a great vessel that is accessed from outside the closed chest. According to one exemplary method, the patient's heart valve is accessed through an intercostal port in the patient's chest. At least one needle having a suture is then directed into the annulus while visualizing through the port placement of the needle into the annulus. The needle is then passed through the annulus.

摘要： An automatic system for accumulating, counting, stacking and bagging can ends. The system is designed to protect the end against damage by minimizing the handling of the end. An automatic dispenser counts and dispenses can ends to one of a pair of end stacks which are mounted for rotation about a vertical axis. The end stacks are indexed from a loading position to an unloading position where the filled stack is pivoted from a normally vertical attitude to a horizontal discharging attitude. Ends are discharged to an automatic bagging system for packaging and storage.

摘要： A rotatably adjustable binding assembly provides for quick and easy rotational adjustment of the binding assembly from a preset first rotational position to a preset second rotational position while a person's foot remains engaged in the binding assembly. The binding assembly includes a detent mechanism mounted under a foot base that engages at least one plate element whereby engagement of the detent mechanism with the plate element secures the binding assembly at a first or second rotational position. Operation of a foot tab actuates the detent mechanism, thereby permitting a "hands free" method of adjusting the rotational position of the binding assembly.

摘要： A portable sawbuck is disclosed that uses three plates to form both a clamp and a vice. The center plate acts a both a clamp plate and a vice plate. The clamp portion can be attached to trees or any other vertical wood post. Four carriage bolts secure the clamp to the tree or post. The vice extends from the opposite side of the clamp and consists of a yoke and the third plate, which rides on the yoke. A threaded rod, which is welded to the third plate and crank are used to operate the vice. Logs are placed in the vice and are rested on the yoke as the vice is tightened. Once secure, the log can be cut on either end, working toward the sawbuck. Logs can be cut to within inches of the sawbuck. A series of spikes are welded or otherwise attached to the plates to further secure the logs to the vice and the clamp to the tree or post. The spikes also reduce the turning moment placed on the sawbuck as logs are cut. The vice portion can also be used without the clamp by clamping the yoke to sawhorses using " U" clamps. The device is intended to be made in kit form for easy shipping and can be readily disassembled for storage.
