摘要： A beam detection sensor detects power of a laser beam from one of a plurality of light sources for each scanning of a scanning section to provide a light power signal. A laser control circuit compares a value of the light power signal with a predetermined value, adjusts a terminal voltage of a capacitor based on a result of the comparison, controls emission power of one of the light sources in accordance with the terminal voltage of the capacitor, and executes the control once for each light source during a plurality of scanning operations. An APC correction circuit corrects a reduction in the power of a laser beam in accordance with a reduction in electric charges applied to the capacitor caused by a leakage current during the plurality of scanning operations.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a scanning unit that deflects and scans a laser beam emitted from a laser beam source, an optical system that guides the laser beam onto a photoconductive drum, a storing unit that stores plural correction patterns that give a series of correction values for correcting an amount of laser beams in one scanning, a selecting unit that selects a correction group including at least two kinds of correction patterns out of the stored correction patterns, a switching unit that switches the at least two kinds of correction patterns belonging to the selected group at predetermined timing, a correcting unit that corrects, on the basis of the correction patterns switched by the switching unit, an amount of laser beams being scanned, and a printing unit that prints, on one medium, plural images formed on the photoconductive drum by laser beams corrected by the respective correction patterns.

摘要： A laser beam scanning apparatus according to the invention includes: a laser oscillating unit that outputs a laser beam; a laser beam scanning unit that performs scanning in a main scanning direction with a laser beam and irradiates the laser beam on a photosensitive member; an error signal generating unit that monitors, in APC period, intensity of a laser beam from the laser oscillating unit and generates an error signal of an error between oscillating unit output and a output reference value; a correction data generating unit that generates correction data for correcting intensity on the photosensitive member to be constant along the main scanning direction; a correction signal generating unit that subjects the correction data to D/A conversion to generate a correction signal; and a laser control signal generating unit. The correction data generated by the correction data generating unit is plural correction data for correcting sensitivity of the photosensitive member including a change in the sensitivity with time. The correction signal generating unit subjects the plural correction data outputted as a series of serial data from the correction data generating unit to D/A conversion to generate the plural correction signals.
