摘要: A medical appliance is provided that includes a self-expanding stent; a sheath adapted to enclose the self-expanding stent in an interior space during deployment; and an external body comprising a bioactive agent attached to the self-expanding stent and adapted to lie outside the interior space of the sheath when the self-expanding stent is enclosed in the sheath. The medical appliance may be deployed in a lumen of a human body and the external body may release the bioactive agent. A method of producing a medical device is provided that includes attaching an external body to a stent and coupling the stent to a delivery arrangement. The external body includes a bioactive agent. A medical device is provided that includes a tissue scaffold; a sheath adapted to enclose the tissue scaffold in an interior space during deployment; and an external body comprising endothelial cells attached to the tissue scaffold and adapted to lie outside the interior space of the sheath when the tissue scaffold is enclosed in the sheath.

摘要: A medical device comprises a catheter having a catheter shaft, a sheath and a rolling membrane. The sheath is being disposed about the catheter shaft and is longitudinally moveable relative thereto. A distal portion of the sheath defines a stent retaining region. The sheath is moveable between an extended position and a retracted position, wherein in the extended position the retaining region is disposed about a stent receiving region of the catheter shaft, and in the retracted position the sheath is removed from the stent receiving region. End regions of the rolling membrane are respectively engaged to a distal end of the sheath and a portion of the shaft proximal to the stent receiving region respectively.

摘要: A trailer based collision warning system includes one or more side object detection sensors, one or more backup assist sensors, a driver vehicle interface, and trailer-mounted display units operating essentially independent of the tractor with all detection and warning system equipment mounted on the trailer. The trailer based collision warning system is coupled to industry-standard tractor to trailer wiring to provide the trailer with power and signals such as left turn indication and right turn indication. The side and rear sensors detect the presence and location of objects and transfer this information to a driver vehicle interface device located on the trailer. The system can also be equipped with video cameras with a means of automatically activating the camera in the area where a hazard condition has been detected. The driver vehicle interface determines the nature of the information and/or warning needed by the driver and provides this information in the form of signals sent to displays that can to assist the driver in safely maneuvering the trailer. The collision warning system can also operate in a security mode.

摘要: A liquid replenishment system includes a reservoir, a first temperature sensor positioned in the reservoir at a full level, a second temperature sensor positioned in the reservoir at an add level, and a controller. The controller is connected to both the first and second sensors. The controller receives temperature signals from the first and second temperature sensors at first and second times. The controller sends an add liquid signal if temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor is substantially different at the first and second times and if temperature sensed by the second temperature sensor is substantially different at the first and second times. The controller sends a full signal if temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor is substantially the same at the first and second times and if temperature sensed by the second temperature sensor is substantially the same at the first and second times.
