Abstract:
A sobriety ignition interlock system including an engine control device and a method for managing available vehicle engine power using the sobriety ignition interlock system. The engine control device includes an engine control processor (ECP) that is electronically connected in between an engine control unit (ECU), an engine sensor assembly, and a sobriety processor. The sobriety processor determines a sobriety level of a vehicle driver and sends a corresponding sobriety signal to the ECP. The ECP intercepts an engine signal transmitted from the engine sensor assembly to the ECU and manipulates the engine signal according to the sobriety signal, in order to manage the available power of the vehicle engine.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydraulic pump or hydraulic motor having an orbiting cardan shaft. The hydraulic pump or motor includes a housing having an end cover and a port plate. The cardan shaft is mounted in the housing and extends through the port plate. A rotation speed sensor is fixed to the port plate and includes a sensor probe obtaining its signal from the orbiting cardan shaft. A piston may be in contact with the cardan shaft and moving forward and back due to the orbital motion of the cardan shaft. The sensor probe then obtains its signal from the movement of the piston.
Abstract:
A mould for fabricating a moulded product comprising a laminate of a thermoplastic surface material and a structural material. The mould comprises a closed, air impervious first mould surface for shaping the surface material and an air permeable liner which is located in relation to the mould. The liner is adapted such that upon applying an in-mould vacuum pressure to the liner, the surface material contacts the second mould surface and conforms to the shape of the mould.

Abstract:
Embodiments described herein relate to a system and method for germicidally irradiating a waste receptacle or other receptacle that fosters microbial growth. A system for treating a waste receptacle may include a housing; a power source disposed about the housing for providing power; and a germicidal source energetically coupled to the power source for irradiating the waste receptacle. The waste receptacle may be a garbage disposal. The germicidal source may be an ultraviolet lamp. A method for treating a waste receptacle may include providing a housing; providing a power source disposed about the housing for providing power; and providing a germicidal lamp energetically coupled to the power source for irradiating the waste receptacle.
Abstract:
A system facilitates the purchase of telecommunication services from a variety of sellers. The system stores a set of responses to purchase requests for telecommunication services associated with a plurality of service providers, each response reflecting at least one telecommunication service offering associated with one of the service providers and a related cost for the telecommunication service offering. The system establishes a session for considering the purchase of telecommunication services. A purchase request is input, including information indicating a requested telecommunication service. The system accesses the stored set of responses to purchase requests for at least one response reflecting at least one telecommunication service offering capable of satisfying the requested telecommunication service, and permits a requester to accept the response during the session.
Abstract:
A technique that is usable with a fuel cell stack includes providing an ejector to combine a first fuel flow from a fuel source with an anode exhaust flow from a fuel cell stack to produce a second fuel flow to an anode inlet plenum of the fuel cell stack. The technique includes regulating communication of the first flow to the ejector based on a pressure of gas in the anode inlet plenum.
Abstract:
A fixture adapted to precisely position two components to permit multiple machining operations of the components at a single work station. The fixture includes a backbone having a first portion for securing the first component and a second portion for securing the second component. First and second portions each further include an integral lobe and a finger which extend outwardly from the backbone, each terminating in a datum surface, as well as an additional datum surface which collectively form a set of datum locators along both the first and second portions. Each set of datum locators precisely positions the two components at a predetermined distance and orientation from each other.
