摘要： The disclosure relates to a semi-soft cap or patch which is secured by adhesive to a slider on a zipper in a reclosable package. This cap or patch prevents the slider from puncturing the web or film of the bag during high pressure pasteurization. Further, the cap or patch is secured to a tear-away header which is formed as a shroud over the zipper. This allows the user to tear off the header which likewise removes the cap or patch from the slider. The header, with the cap or patch still attached thereto, can thereafter be disposed of as a single piece.

摘要： Reclosable packages containing food product that can be exposed to cooking temperatures without rupture of the product compartment. The various disclosed embodiments have the following common features: means for forming a first interior volume that is hermetically sealed, at least a portion of the first interior volume containing product; means for forming a second interior volume that is in fluid communication with the exterior of the package via a vent hole and is not in fluid communication with the first interior volume; and frangible means designed to rupture when the pressure inside the first interior volume increases to a predetermined level during cooking. The second interior volume will be in fluid communication with the first interior volume as a result of rupture of the frangible means.

摘要： A flexible zipper intended for use in a package containing powder or other particulate matter. The zipper is designed to be resistant to clogging of the interlocking profiles with powder. This flexible zipper has first and second profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween. The space extends in a longitudinal direction, i.e., along the length of the zipper. The bases of both profiles are provided with apertures for enabling powder or other particulate matter trapped in the space between the profiles to pass into the interior volume of a package.
