    摘要： A flexible zipper intended for use in a package containing powder or other particulate matter. The zipper is designed to be resistant to clogging of the interlocking profiles with powder. This flexible zipper has first and second profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween. The space extends in a longitudinal direction, i.e., along the length of the zipper. The bases of both profiles are provided with apertures for enabling powder or other particulate matter trapped in the space between the profiles to pass into the interior volume of a package.

    摘要： The zipper assembly for a reclosable package or bag includes a zipper with exterior interlocking elements and flanges, and typically includes a slider. Additionally, a hinged secondary zipper formed from interior interlocking elements. A first interior interlocking element is hinged by an interior flange with respect to the first flange while the second interior interlocking element is attached to the second flange. The hinging of the secondary zipper causes forces or loads from within the reclosable package or bag to configure the secondary zipper in a shear configuration, rather than a peeling configuration, thereby increasing the interior burst strength of the package or bag.

The gusseted tube comprises a side gusset extending from the top to the bottom of the tube, wherein the side gusset and the top seal do not overlap. The package further comprises a flexible zipper comprising a first zipper strip joined to a portion of and extending across the width of the side gusset, and a second zipper strip joined to portions of the tube. After the zipper is opened, an upper portion of the side gusset to which the zipper is attached can be inverted to form a pour spout.

    摘要： An optical emission spectrometer system includes a light source and a dichroic beam combiner. The light source emits first light in a first direction and second light in a second direction different from the first direction. The dichroic beam combiner receives the first light via a first light path and the second light via a second light path, reflects a portion the first light into an entrance aperture of a light detection and measurement apparatus, and transmits a portion of the second light into the entrance aperture, enabling analysis and measurement of both first and second light characteristics simultaneously. The portion of the first light reflected into the entrance aperture predominately has wavelengths in a first range of wavelengths and the portion of the second light transmitted into the entrance aperture predominately has wavelengths in a second range of wavelengths, different from the first range of wavelengths.

    摘要： The present disclosure relates to a slider zipper including first and second interlocking profiles with female and male interlocking elements. The female interlocking element is formed from two extending arms which are sufficiently spaced so as to receive the male interlocking element while maintaining an open space therebetween in order to accommodate powdered or granular products between the interlocking profiles. The first and second interlocking profiles further include complementary fulcrum elements to allow the slider walls to pivot the interlocking profiles into and out of engagement. The slider further includes interior surfaces which engage retaining shoulders of the interlocking profiles to displace the interlocking profiles with respect to one another.
