Abstract: An adjustable rotary vane pump for changing the direction and rate of fluid flow through the pump. The pump comprises a first pump housing having a generally cylindrical chamber therein along a central axis of the housing. A second housing is provided having a second chamber therein coaxially oriented with the first housing. An insert member is provided in the second housing having an aperture therein of a given eccentricity. The insert member is slidably adjustable for rotational movement within the second housing for providing varying cross-sectional dimensions for the fluid flow through the pump. A rotor is disposed in the housing coaxial with the first and second housing. A plurality of vane members are provided on the rotor which respectively engage the walls of the first chamber and the insert member within the pump.

Abstract: According to one example of the present invention, there is provided apparatus for displaying a dashboard display in a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a vehicle data bus interface for communicating with vehicle subsystems of a vehicle management system, a rules store for storing a set of dashboard display rules, and a dashboard display module. The dashboard display module is arranged to obtain a dashboard display definition, to determine whether the dashboard display definition is in compliance with the dashboard display rules; to obtain, where it is so determined, data from one or more of the vehicle subsystems in accordance with the dashboard display definition, and to display the obtained data in accordance with the dashboard display definition.

Abstract: An apparatus for precisely cutting lengths of strip material includes a supply of strip material, a feed mechanism for conveying the strip material from the supply and a reciprocating cutter mounted downstream of the feed mechanism. An adjustable stop is movably mounted adjacent the cutter for engaging an end of the strip material and setting a precise length of the strip material being cut. An adjustment mechanism is coupled to the stop for moving the stop relative to the cutter along a longitudinal axis of the length of the strip material being cut.

Abstract: A method and system for continuously manufacturing security tags involve supplying housing stock material in a continuous web from a supply station and then forming housing cavities in the housing stock material without separating the continuous web. Resonator strips are inserted in the housing cavities downstream of the plastic forming. The housing cavities with the inserted resonator strips are closed and sealed with lid stock material which is placed over the open ends of the housing cavities. Bias strips are attached to the outer surface of the lid stock material remote from the housing cavity. Cover strip material is then placed over the bias strips and outer surface of the lid stock material.
