摘要： A connector includes a housing with a set of broad-side coupled terminals configured to engage a pair of signal traces on a first panel and a second panel and transfer signals between the signal traces on the first and second panels. The connector may be slid onto the edges and then fastened to one or both of the panels with a locking feature. Multiple signal pairs may be included in the connector and may be electrically separated. The design of the connector helps facilitate high-speed data communication per signal pair with a return loss performance that does not exceed at predetermined level. Certain configurations of the connector may be used for co-planar configurations. Certain configurations of the connector may couple together panels of different thicknesses.

摘要： A circuit board includes a first and second ground layer and a plurality of signal vias extending between the ground layers but not electrical contact therewith. Ground vias coupled to the first and second ground layers can be positioned adjacent signal vias and can include ground traces that extend between adjacent ground vias. Air holes can be positioned between signal vias and/or adjacent signal vias to modify the electrical performance of the circuit board. Ground wings can be used to help tune common-mode and/or differential-mode impedances.

摘要： A high speed connector includes a plurality of wafer-style components in which two columns of conductive terminals are supported in an insulative support body, the body including an internal cavity disposed between the two columns of conductive terminals. The terminals are arranged in horizontal pairs, and the internal cavity defines an air channel between each horizontal pair of terminals arranged in the two columns of terminals. The terminals are further aligned with each other in each row so that horizontal faces of the terminals in the two rows face each other to thereby promote broadside coupling between horizontal pairs of terminals. A dielectric insert is provided between the columns of terminals to thereby influence the broadside coupling between pairs of terminals.

摘要： An edge card connector is provided for use with a circuit card having an edge and a plurality of contact pads near the edge. The connector includes a housing having an elongated slot for receiving the edge of the circuit card therein, along with terminal cavities adjacent to the slot. A plurality of terminals are inserted into the terminal cavities. At least some of the terminals each include a contact section extending into the slot for engaging a contact pad on the circuit card, along with an enlarged body section. A thin flexible contact arm extends between the body section and the contact section. A finger portion extends alongside the thin flexible contact arm to increase the capacitance of the terminal and, thereby, reduce the impedance of the circuit through the terminal.

摘要： A shielded electrical connector is mountable on a printed circuit board in association with an adapter for receiving a complementary mating connector. The connector includes a dielectric housing mounting a plurality of terminals having tail portions projecting from the housing for connection to appropriate circuit traces on the printed circuit board. A metal shield is mounted to the housing about the tail portions of the terminals. The shield includes at least one ESD clip for insertion into an appropriate hole in the printed circuit board, at least one ground contact arm for engaging the complementary mating connector, at least one grounding tab for engaging the adapter and at least one grounding leg for connection to an appropriate ground circuit on the printed circuit board.

摘要： A connector includes a conductive body with a central bore along a central axis. The body includes a mounting face for positioning adjacent a mounting surface of a circuit member and for removably engaging a reference pad of the circuit member. A center conductive contact includes a board engaging end for removably engaging a signal pad of the circuit member. An inner dielectric insert is positioned between the conductive body and the center conductive contact. The conductive body, the center conductive contact and the inner dielectric insert are configured to operate at a frequency of at least 40 GHz with a return loss of greater than 20 dB.
