摘要: A mist collector for separating liquid components from a mist-laden gas stream to include a housing which houses three filter or separation stages. The stream is pumped through ducts into the bottom of the housing, and is pulled upwardly through the filter stages. The third filter stage comprises a commercially available filter assembly with a plurality of filter envelopes having bottom open ends secured across a midposition of the housing and upper closed ends supported adjacent the top of the housing. A doorway provides access to the inside of the housing. The upper closed ends of the envelopes are supported by hanger rods which connect to horizontally movable slides which slide within horizontal channels mounted to the internal side walls of the housing. The slides extend partially out through the doorway to enable the assembly to be connected to and disconnected from the collector outside of the housing.

摘要: A ground handling system for an airship which comprises a first track system to allow a plurality of docking carts to move from a hangar to a weathervane/launching/landing ring R. The docking carts are configured to complete a second track system. Carried by each of the docking carts is a mooring cart that carries a mooring structure. Upon the completion of the second track system by each of the docking carts, the mooring carts are able to move about the second track system. Thereby allowing the airship to be oriented in a desired manner to facilitate its launch or landing.

摘要: A rail clip, for holding down a railway rail, is made by bending a metal rod so that it comprises a substantially straight leg, at one end of which is one end of the rod, the other end of the leg being joined to a part on one side of the leg which is joined to a final part on the other side of the leg, this final part terminating in the other end of the rod, near which, on the under-side, a step in the rod is formed, this having a depth no more than 2 mm. or no more than 1/4 of the thickness of the rod before it was bent. Apparatus for performing a second bending operation on a rod, which in a first bending operation has been given the shape indicated above but without the step, has support surfaces for supporting various parts of the bent rod and two shaping tools between which the final part of the rod is distorted to give it its final shape, including the step.

摘要: A method for providing a mobile emissions reduction credit or other tradable commodity (15) comprising the steps of identifying an emissions reduction technology for a pollutant (20), providing a portable emissions measurement system (PEMS) adapted to measure emissions of the pollutant (21), providing a mobile source (16), applying the emissions reduction technology to the mobile source to provide a modified mobile source (25), connecting the PEMS to the modified mobile source (26), taking measurements of the modified mobile source (28), analyzing the measurements to develop a modified emissions amount (29), determining a target emissions amount (19), determining the difference between the target emissions amount and the modified emissions amount (30), and converting the difference between the target emissions amount and the modified emissions amount into a tradable commodity (31). The step of determining a target emissions amount may comprise the steps of providing a PEMS adapted to measure emissions of the pollutant (21), connecting the PEMS to the mobile source (22), taking first measurements of the pollutant from the mobile source (23) and analyzing the measurements to develop a baseline emissions amount (24), or the target emissions amount may be a function of a regulation or standard (19).

摘要: Methods for packaging Metarhizium fungal cultures or conidia are described. In one embodiment, the fungal culture is provided within an insect infection chamber that attracts insects, then infects them with a lethal dosage of fungus, where the packaging maintains high humidity within the chamber, allows free exchange of gases, and is impermeable to microbes, including fungal spores, viruses, and bacteria. In a second embodiment, the fungal conidia are packaged under conditions which maintain high viability even after long-term storage at both 25.degree. C. and 37.degree. C., i.e., low relative humidity and oxygen. The conidia can then be reactivated for the use in the control of insects such as cockroaches, flies, ants, soft-bodied insects, turf pests, and caterpillars.
