摘要: An electroluminescent device comprises a cathode, an anode, and has therebetween a light emitting layer (LEL), the device further containing an electron transport layer (ETL) on the cathode side of the LEL and an organic electron injection layer (EIL) contiguous to the ETL on the cathode side, wherein the ETL contains a monoanthracene compound bearing aromatic groups in the 2-, 9-, and 10-positions.

摘要: An electroluminescent device comprises a cathode, an anode, and has therebetween a light emitting layer (LEL), the device further containing an electron transport layer (ETL) comprising an anthracene compound on the cathode side of the LEL and an organic electron injection layer (EIL) between the ETL and the cathode comprising a phenanthroline compound, wherein the thickness of the EIL and LEL are such that the ratio of the thickness of the EIL to LEL is greater than 0.125.

摘要: An OLED device comprises a cathode, an anode, and having therebetween a light emitting layer, the device further comprising a layer on the cathode side of the emitting layer containing an anthracene compound bearing a diarylamine group; provided either (1) there is present an organic layer contiguous to the cathode that is substantially free of an anthracene compound bearing a diarylamine group, or (2) there are present independently selected diarylamine groups in both the 9- and 10-positions of the anthracene. The invention provides an improved combination of efficiency, operational lifetime, and lower operational voltage.

摘要: An OLED device comprises a cathode, an anode, and a light-emitting layer therebetween, and additionally comprises a layer between the cathode and the light-emitting layer including a compound comprising one and only one anthracene nucleus bearing no more than two phenanthroline-containing substituents wherein said anthracene nucleus is substituted in the 2-, 3-, 6-, or 7-position with a phenanthroline-containing substituent. When such materials are included in a layer, such as an electron-transporting layer, that provide both desirable electroluminescent properties as well as good device stability.

摘要: An OLED device comprises a cathode, an anode, and a light-emitting layer therebetween, and additionally comprises a layer between the cathode and the light-emitting layer including a phenanthroline compound comprising no more than two optionally substituted phenanthroline moieties wherein one and only one group substituted on a phenanthroline nucleus includes an aromatic system comprising four or more fused aromatic rings. Such a device provides desirable electroluminescent properties, such as increased luminance and reduced drive voltage, as well as good device stability.

摘要: The invention includes a process for forming a laser pixel array useful with a pump-beam, comprising: a) forming a layer containing a formamide of an amino dye compound on a support wherein the layer absorbs light outside the laser wavelength and predominantly outside the pump-beam wavelength range; and b) subjecting the layer to UV radiation in the areas of the layer where it is desired to be free of pixels for a time sufficient to shift the absorption envelope of the areas into the pump-beam wavelength range. The invention also provides for unimolecularly forming an image or an information record and a composition of matter. The invention provides methods for forming filters, images or information records having a smooth surface and in particular for forming a pixel region pattern for use with an Organic VCSEL that would ease manufacturing.

摘要: A method for forming a color organic light-emitting device including depositing a first electrode over a substrate; depositing a first emissive layer over the first electrode for producing a first colored light in response to hole-electron recombination; and selectively patternwise depositing a hole-blocking layer over the first emissive layer. The method also includes depositing a second emissive layer over the hole-blocking layer which in response to hole-electron recombination emits colored light different from the colored light emitted from the first emissive layer; depositing a second electrode over the second emissive layer; and whereby the patternwise deposition of the hole-blocking layer has been selected to substantially shift hole-electron recombination from the second to the first emissive layers.
