Abstract:
A system and method of assessing an individual's chance for success is disclosed. The method includes taking a test, the test including questions that measure a plurality of characteristics of the individual. A score associated with each of the measured plurality of characteristics of the individual in accordance with the pre-selected field is weighted. Then a final score is determined from the weighted scores, the score being indicative of the chance for success in the pre-selected field.
Abstract:
A woman's sport shirt that normally functions as a waist-length T-shirt having a circular neck opening and short sleeves. The waist hem of the shirt is provided on opposite sides thereof with complementary snap buttons, or similar hand-operated connectors. When worn by a woman, the shirt is readily convertible into a halter-like garment by raising the waist hem above the midriff, then lifting the front section of the skirt above the head and rolling it behind the neck to create a yoke joining left and right portions of the front section which are then drawn across the bust of the wearer and interconnected by the snap buttons to form a bra-like bust support above the exposed midriff.
Abstract:
Apparatuses for playing signals received from the internet or other information highway or a stored database on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from preselected addresses; a processor for interpreting the signals; and at least one speaker for playing signals from the internet. There is at least display device connected to the receiver for displaying an image received from the internet. The processor selects images that correspond with the signals played by the speaker.

Apparatuses for playing signals received from the internet or other information highway on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from preselected addresses; a processor for interpreting the signals; and at least one speaker for playing signals from the internet. There is at least one holographic projector connected to the receiver for projecting a holographic image received from the internet. The processor selects images that correspond with the signals played by the speaker.
Abstract:
A stability system is formed from a support wedge having a bottom, an inner surface and an outer surface and a bottom platform connected to the bottom of the support wedge and extending past the inner surface to create a space for receiving a bottom of the shoe. There are attachment devices connected to the support wedge and bottom platform for connecting the stability system to a shoe. The support wedge is formed from an elastic material that compresses to a predetermined degree upon application of a downward force, such that the stability system exerts increasing resistance as the downward force increases.
Abstract:
A compressed article of hygiene is formed by a compressed cloth that has been compressed by dehydration or vacuum pressure into a coin shape and that is expandable upon contact with a liquid, and a plurality of microencapsulated beads containing a material. The microencapsulated beads are attached and embedded in the compressed cloth. Upon contact with water, expansion of the compressed cloth is unconstrained, and the compressed cloth when expanded has a shape of a facial mask with openings for eye, nose and mouth. The material is a facial treatment material that hardens upon drying.
Abstract:
Apparatus including a combined monitor and display assembly installable in an area occupied by an individual, and at the location occupied by the individual's caregiver. There is a microphone and video camera to provide sounds generated by the individual or an image of the individual and an audio or video transmitter connected to the microphone and camera to transmit a signal from the microphone and video camera that is intercepted by a mobile telephone so that the signal can be heard or seen by an observer at a site remote from the enclosure. The distress sounds are pre-programmed into the device so that only pre-selected distress sounds cause the mobile telephone to be contacted.
Abstract:
An improved computerized method for provides credit card services by a card issuer. The improvement operates in connection with continuing education offered to a constituent of an organization. In this context, the constituent has an account with the card issuer and the improvement includes storing, in association with the account, data associated with a provider's course approved by the organization for enrollment by the constituent. It also includes processing incoming merchant charges to be posted to the account to flag any charge identified as pertaining to the approved course by the associated data and to store such charge as flagged. Finally it includes deferring billing of any flagged charge, pending settlement of such flagged charge under an arrangement with the organization.
Abstract:
A system and method for monitoring the state of a guard, in which a biological sensor is attached to the guard, and a wireless transmitter is attached to the sensor via a microprocessor. The transmitter transmits any changes in the biological state of the guard to a remote receiver. The remote receiver can be programmed to automatically send an alert to various entities, which can then send in replacements.
Abstract:
A play ball comprising an outer casing having two adjacent openings, a vent and a balloon is provided. The outer casing is substantially non-porous. An uninflated balloon is inserted into the outer casing through an opening. During inflation of the balloon, air from within the outer casing is vented. A handle is attached to the outer casing through the adjacent openings in the casing. The handle is stretchable and can be in the form of an elastomeric band.
