摘要： A method of and apparatus for determining anchor shots which can be used in indexing, summarizing, and browsing contents of video data. The method includes: extracting a plurality of basic shots from the video data according to a predetermined standard; selecting a plurality of anchor model candidate shots from the plurality of basic shots by applying a first standard to the plurality of basic shots; determining at least one anchor model shot by applying a second standard to the plurality of anchor model candidate shots; and determining at least one anchor shot by comparing the amount of similarity of the anchor model shots and the plurality of basic shots.

The moving-picture summarizing apparatus includes: a video summarizing unit combining or segmenting shots considering a video event component detected from a video component of a moving-picture, and outputting the combined or segmented result as a segment; and an audio summarizing unit combining or segmenting the segment on the basis of an audio event component detected from an audio component of the moving-picture, and outputting a summarized result of the moving-picture, wherein the video event is an effect inserted where the content of the moving-picture changes and the audio event is the type of sound by which the audio component is identified to the apparatus can correctly combine or segment shots based on their contents, summarize a moving-picture differentially according to genre, and summarize a moving-picture at a high speed.

According to the method and system, by using together user preference and content-based feature value information, such as color, texture, and shape, from the contents of photos, as well as information that can be basically obtained from photos, such as camera information and file information stored in a camera, a large volume of photos are effectively categorized such that an album can be fast and effectively generated with photo data.

摘要： A clustering method, medium, and apparatus using region division templates. According to the method, medium, and apparatus, in order to more reliably extract semantic concepts included in a photo, multiple content-based feature values can be extracted from region images divided by using region division templates, and the confidence degree of an input image in relation to the local semantic concept, defined by using the feature values, is measured. With respect to the confidence degree, the local semantic concepts of the photo can be merged and a more reliable local semantic concept can be extracted. By using the merged local semantic concept, the confidence degree of a global semantic concept is measured, and according to the confidence, multiple category concepts included in the input photo are extracted. By doing so, photo data can be quickly and effectively used to generate an album.
