    摘要: A color measurement instrument that is capable of both spot reading and strip reading. The instrument includes a handheld unit and a docking unit. When removed from the docking unit, the handheld unit is used for spot reading. When docked in the docking unit, the handheld unit and the docking unit are used together for strip reading. The handheld unit includes a self-storing target that is deployed for spot reading and stored for strip reading. The handheld unit also includes a self-storing calibration plaque that is deployed for calibration and stored otherwise. When docked, the handheld unit teeters on the docking unit between a normally closed position and a manually selectable open position to accommodate a variety of sample thicknesses.

    摘要: A dynamic surgical table system includes any one or combination of a head support system, support systems for each arm, a torso support system, and a leg support system mounted to a frame system to support a patient during surgery. Any one or combination of the support systems is movable relative to the other and to the frame system to facilitate patient repositioning during surgery. Such repositioning may be desirable, for example, to create flexion, extension or rotation of the spine to facilitate access to and surgical treatment of one or more vertebral bodies, disc spaces between vertebral bodies, or other anatomical structures adjacent the spine of the patient. Furthermore, individual support members of any one of the support systems can articulate to conform to the patient anatomy and facilitate repositioning of the particular portion of the patient's body being support thereon while minimizing stress on the patient.

A connector member for connecting to an orthopedic implant and a support member is provided. A sleeve fits around the implant, and a locking member or mechanism connects to the sleeve. Locking causes a part of the sleeve to press the support against the connector, and causes a part of the sleeve to compress around the implant, so that the implant and support are substantially inhibited or prevented from moving with respect to each other.

    摘要: An apparatus for use in orthopedic distraction or compression is disclosed. In the illustrated embodiments, two arms are provided that are connected by a rod or bar with a mechanism that enables the arms to be brought toward or away from each other. At the end of each arm, an assembly for connecting to a bone implant is provided. The assemblies are pivotable with respect to the arms, and allow some rotational motion between parts of the assembly so as to accommodate different positions of the bone implants. Once the assemblies are appropriately positioned, connected and locked to the bone implants, the mechanism can be operated to move the arms together in compression or apart in distraction.
