摘要: Coated proppant particles are prepared from a coating composition that includes at least one polyisocyanate and an isocyanate trimerization catalyst. The coating composition preferably is devoid of an effective amount of a urethane, urea and carbodiimide catalyst. The coating composition cures rapidly at moderate temperatures, and bonds to itself well under conditions of heat and pressure as are experienced by the particles in subterranean formations.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to low cathodic disbondment coating compositions, more particularly, to polyurethane compositions including a butylene oxide based polyol composition that can be utilized to form polyurethane coatings having low cathodic disbondment. As an example, a low cathodic disbondment coating compositions can be formed from a polyurethane composition including a polyol composition that includes a butylene oxide based polyol composition, where the polyol composition has an average hydroxyl functionality from 2 to 8 and a hydroxyl equivalent weight from 150 to 4000, where the butylene oxide based polyol composition is from 10 weight percent to 100 weight percent of a total weight of the polyol composition and has an average hydroxyl functionality from 2 to 3, and a polyisocyanate composition, where the polyurethane composition has an isocyanate index in a range from 70 to 120.

摘要: Embodiments relate to a proppant particle or a solid article that includes a proppant particle/solid article and one or more coatings on an outer surface of the proppant particle/solid article including one or more well treatment agents and one or more controlled release polymer resins. Each well treatment agent is at least one selected from the group of a scale inhibitor, a wax inhibitor, a pour point depressant, asphaltene inhibitor, an asphaltene dispersant, a corrosion inhibitor, a biocide, a viscosity modifier, and a de emulsifier. Each controlled release polymer resin is at least one selected from the group of a polyurethane based resin, an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, and a furan resin.
