摘要: A process to form a crosslinked composition comprising thermally treating a composition at a temperature ≥ 25° C., in the presence of moisture, and wherein the composition comprises the following components: a) an olefin/silane interpolymer, b) a cure catalyst selected from the following: i) a metal alkoxide, ii) a metal carboxylate, iii) a metal sulfonate, iv) an aryl sulfonic acid, v) a tris-aryl borane, vi) any combination of two or more from i)-v). Also, a composition comprising the following components a and b, as described above. A process to form an olefin/alkoxysilane interpolymer, and the corresponding composition, said process comprising thermally treating a composition comprising the following components: a) an olefin/silane interpolymer, b) an alcohol, and c) a Lewis acid.

摘要: Hydroxyl-containing copolymers of butylene oxide and ethylene oxide having a hydroxyl equivalent weight of at least 150, an average of 1.8 to 6 hydroxyl groups per molecule of which hydroxyl groups at least 70% are primary hydroxyl groups and an oxyethylene content of no greater than 10% by weight based on the weight of the copolymer, are useful for making polyurethanes. These polyols are characterized by high reactivity and fast curing times. Polyurethanes made using these polyols have excellent mechanical properties and are highly hydrophobic.

摘要: A novel byproduct compound having the following chemical formula B: wherein R is hydrogen or CH3; a composition including an admixture of: (A) a product having the following chemical formula A: wherein R is hydrogen or CH3; and (B) the above novel byproduct compound having the chemical formula B; and a composition including a reaction product of: (a) an aromatic epoxy resin; (b) hydrogen; (c) a catalyst; and (d) a solvent; wherein the reaction product produced is a cycloaliphatic epoxy resin admixture of the combination of (i) the above product having the chemical formula A and (ii) the novel byproduct compound having the chemical formula B; wherein the above product having the chemical formula A includes at least a cis-cis isomer, a cis-trans isomer, and a trans-trans isomer; and the novel byproduct compound having the chemical formula B includes at least a cis isomer and a trans isomer.

摘要: A process comprising a) mixing i) an isocyanate reactive component that contains from 2 to 100 weight percent of an aminobenzoate terminated composition wherein the isocyanate reactive component does not contain a solvent; and ii) an isocyanate terminated component having an isocyanate functionality of from 2 to 6 wherein the isocyanate terminated component does not contain a solvent; at a stoichiometric ratio of NCO to reactive hydrogen in the range of from 0.9 to 2.5; to form an adhesive composition; b) applying the adhesive composition to a primary substrate; and c) laminating the primary substrate with a secondary film to form a laminate structure, is disclosed. The laminate structure can be used as a laminating adhesive.

摘要: A polyurethane reaction system includes an isocyanate component having at least one polyisocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive component having a storage stable polyol component that is a single phase liquid mixture at 23° C. including a first polyether polyol and a second polyether polyol. The first polyether polyol is included in an amount from 20 wt % to 90 wt %, based on total weight of the polyol component, is a glycol based polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene polyether polyol having number average molecular weight from 1500 g/mol to 1975 g/mol, and has a polyoxyethylene content from 26 wt % and 34 wt % based on a total weight of the first polyether polyol. The second polyether polyol is included in an amount from 10 wt % to 80 wt %, based on total weight of the polyol component, has a number average molecular weight from 750 g/mol to 4000 g/mol, and has a melting point higher than 23° C.

摘要: A liquid polycarbonate coating composition including an aliphatic polycarbonate resin and a cross linking compound, said aliphatic polycarbonate resin being derived from, in the presence of a catalyst, an aliphatic polyol which comprises (a) from 50 to 100% by weight of the aliphatic polyol, one or more cycloaliphatic polyols that consist essentially of primary hydroxyl groups and (b) from 0 to 50% by weight of the aliphatic polyol, one or more linear aliphatic polyols, is provided. A method of coating a substrate with the liquid polycarbonate coating composition and the resulting articles are also provided.

摘要: A method of chemical mechanical polishing a substrate is provided, comprising: providing a polishing machine having a platen; providing a substrate, wherein the substrate has an exposed silicon oxide surface; providing a chemical mechanical polishing pad, comprising: a polyurethane polishing layer; wherein the polyurethane polishing layer composition exhibits an acid number of ≧0.5 mg (KOH)/g; providing an abrasive slurry, wherein the abrasive slurry comprises water and a ceria abrasive; creating dynamic contact at an interface between the chemical mechanical polishing pad and the substrate; and, dispensing the abrasive slurry onto the polishing surface of the polyurethane polishing layer of the chemical mechanical polishing pad at or near the interface between the chemical mechanical polishing pad and the substrate; and, polishing the substrate.

摘要: A multilayer film comprising: (a) a layer of a first polymer comprising polymerized units of vinyl alcohol; and (b) a layer of a second polymer selected from the group consisting of maleic anhydride-isobutylene copolymers, neutralized maleic anhydride-isobutylene copolymers, chemically modified maleic anhydride-isobutylene copolymers, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, neutralized ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, polyvinylpyrrolidone, poly (vinyl methyl ether), cellulose, methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, poly(methyl)acrylic acid, poly(ethylene glycol), polyacrylamine, poly(2-hydroxyethyl acrylate), and mixtures thereof.
