Abstract: The present invention further provides a binder composition comprising a first binder and a second binder. The first binder comprises, by dry weight based on total dry weight of the binder composition, from 1% to 98% polymer particles, from 0.3% to 20% an anionic polyelectrolyte, and from 0.1% to 20% a colorant; and the second binder comprises, by dry weight based on total dry weight of the binder composition, from 0.5% to 70% a clay, and from 0.03% to 10% a dispersant. It also provides a paint formulation comprising the binder composition.

Abstract: Semiconductive shield layers for power cable constructions are made from a composition that has: (A) A nonpolar, ethylene-based polymer having a density of greater than (>) 0.90 glee and a melt index of >20 g/10 min at 190° C./2.16 Kg; (B) A polar polymer consisting of ethylene and an unsaturated alkyl ester having 4 to 20 carbon atoms; (C) Acetylene carbon black; and (D) A curing agent; with the provisos that (1) the composition has a phase separated structure, and (2) the weight ratio of nonpolar polymer to polar polymer is from 0.25 to 4.

The filling composition is used as a filling composition in a buffer tube.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous polymer dispersion composition comprising a stable aqueous dispersion of single-phase thermoplastic polymer particles imbibed with a thermosettable compound having at least two oxirane groups. The thermoplastic polymer particles have a sufficient concentration of anti-agglomerating functional groups to stabilize the latex against agglomeration, and the thermoplastic polymer particles being a copolymerization product of a monomer mixture comprising, based on the total dry weight of the monomer mixture (a) 35 wt. % to 71 wt. % of ethyl acrylate, (b) 30 wt. % to 60 wt. % of methyl methacrylate, and (c) 5 wt. % to 10 wt. % methylol acrylamide.
