    Abstract: A spring cap for an electrical switching apparatus having a housing, a stationary contact, a movable contact disposed on a moving arm, and a crossbar assembly. The crossbar assembly includes a crossbar, a first contact spring, a second contact spring, and a spring clip. The moving arm is coupled to the crossbar. The spring cap includes a first segment structured disposed between the spring clip and the first contact spring, a second segment disposed between the spring clip and the second contact spring, and a connecting portion connecting the first segment to the second segment. The spring clip is disposed between the moving arm and the contact springs. The spring cap supports the spring clip and evenly distribute bias forces of the contact springs.

    Abstract: An operating mechanism including a number of biasing elements and a number of linkage members is provided. The linkage members are operatively coupled to each other and each are movable between a second configuration, an initial tripped configuration, a rebound configuration, and a final tripped configuration. The biasing elements are operatively coupled to the number of linkage members and bias the number of linkage members to the final, first configuration. A stop member is coupled to one of the linkage members. The stop member moves with the associated linkage member. The stop member is positioned to contact a stop surface when the linkage members are in the rebound configuration. Contact between the stop member and the stop surface substantially arrests the motion of the linkage members.

    Abstract: An operating handle interface assembly is for an electrical system. The electrical system includes an enclosure having an interior and an exterior, and a plurality of electrical switching apparatus disposed within the interior. Each of the electrical switching apparatus includes an operating handle. The operating handle interface assembly includes a linking assembly structured to interconnect the operating handles of a plurality of the electrical switching apparatus. An elongated shaft includes opposing first and second ends. The first end cooperates with one of the operating handles of one of the electrical switching apparatus. The second end is disposed on the exterior of the enclosure. A handle attachment is coupled to the second end of the elongated shaft on the exterior of the enclosure. The handle attachment is operable among a plurality of positions to correspondingly operate the operating handles of all of the interconnected electrical switching apparatus.

    Abstract: A lever assembly is for an operating mechanism of an electrical switching apparatus. The electrical switching apparatus includes a number of pairs of separable contacts structured to move from a CLOSED position to a TRIPPED OPEN position in response to a trip condition. The operating mechanism has an enclosure member and a number of biasing elements coupled to the enclosure member. The biasing elements are structured to move the separable contacts from the CLOSED position to the TRIPPED OPEN position. The lever assembly includes a lever member structured to engage the enclosure member, and a component located on the lever member. The component is structured to extend through each of the biasing elements in order to lengthen each of the biasing elements when the separable contacts are in the CLOSED position.
