Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for data compression and decompression based on calculation of an error vector magnitude. A data compression apparatus includes a lossy compression unit for calculating, in advance, a reference error vector magnitude depending on lossy compression and decompression by removing lower bits from a data signal composed of bitstreams, for setting removal target lower bits satisfying a preset error vector magnitude requirement, and for lossily compressing the data signal by removing the removal target lower bits from the data signal, and a communication unit for transmitting the compressed data signal to a data decompression apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for receiving adaptive media streaming. The method may include calculating segment download time for each video quality level based on network throughput, a segment bitrate for the video quality level, segment duration, and a standard deviation of segment bitrates, determining a segment bitrate for maximizing the quality of viewing experience of a user based on the segment download time for each video quality level and a buffer level received from a playback buffer, making a request for the determined segment bitrate, transferring the request to a server, and transferring a corresponding video segment received in response to the request to the playback buffer.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for removing a self-interference signal. The apparatus includes one or more processors and executable memory for storing at least one program executed by the one or more processors. The at least one program receives an upstream signal for removing self-interference, generates a downstream signal for channel estimation, replicates a self-interference signal in a time domain and a self-interference signal in a frequency domain using the upstream signal and the downstream signal, and removes the self-interference signal from the upstream signal using the replicated self-interference signal in the time domain and the replicated self-interference signal in the frequency domain.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method for transmitting and receiving compressed data and an apparatus therefor. According to the method for transmitting compressed data, a transmission apparatus for transmitting compressed data standardizes the value of an In-phase/Quadrature-phase (IQ) data sample to a preset type that is selected from among a positive number and a negative number, determines the sample type of the IQ data sample, the value of which is standardized to the preset type, based on a sample type determination rule, generates a compressed bit string based on the compression rule pertaining to the determined sample type, generates compressed data, including at least one of a reference bit corresponding to the sample type, the sign bit of the IQ data sample, and the compressed bit string, for each IQ data sample, and transmits the compressed data to a reception apparatus.
