Abstract: A method of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens having at least one optical function includes: a step of additively manufacturing a complementary optical element by depositing a plurality of predetermined volume elements on a predetermined build support, the complementary optical element being configured to provide at least a part of the optical function of the ophthalmic lens, wherein the build support includes at least one added value or adhesive configured to provide to the ophthalmic lens at least one added function. An ophthalmic lens including a build support and a complementary optical element as well as an ophthalmic lens obtained by such a manufacturing method.

Abstract: Disclosed is a semi-finished lens that includes a blank formed in a first material having a first hardness, the blank having an outline, a first face and a second face configured to be surfaced so as to constitute a first optical face of the ophthalmic lens, and a top layer formed in a second material having a second hardness greater than the first hardness, the top layer having an outline, a first face and a second face, the second face of the top layer being arranged on the first face of the blank. The outline of the top layer is equal to or included in the outline of the blank, and satisfies to a predetermined dimensional selection criterion involving the final outline of the ophthalmic lens.
